Week 3

Sunday - Thursday

The beginning of the third week starts like the rest, even with the loss of three of your fellow warriors: Chiaki, Hei, and Senhime. Despite your best hopes, it doesn't seem like the trend of murders is going to change: though at least there is some relief to be had from the trial's somewhat unexpected conclusion. The mood in the group is undoubtedly different, but perhaps this experience has made you all stronger— at least one could hope.

In the end, what else can you do but move on?

Like last week, it seems another pattern has established itself: with new areas of the castle for you to explore. Who knows, maybe this week you'll discover something else worthwhile in its depths. Or you can simply focus on surviving— after the past week, surely no one can blame you. Whatever choices you make this week are ultimately yours and yours alone, for better or for worse.

[It's just Hiyono's luck that Zero happens to be passing by in a walk out of boredom when her sword lands neatly in the ground. Of course, it doesn't matter to her that the pond spat it out because of Hiyono's coins, that sword is hers and she's been wanting it back!!]

Hey! [Is she just yelling or already angry from just this?? One can never know with Zero...] I'll be taking this back!

[SCREECH.]

YES MA'AM, SORRY MA'AM!

[Hiyono what are you even apologizing for.]

[Well, that was surprisingly easy! How nice.]

What're you apologizing for? [She asks while picking her sword back up and resting it easily across her shoulder. It's good that she has her sword back now but she doesn't get what the apology is for.......]

Some people [like herself] get upset when others get their things.

[It's not like she'd deny she was upset, but:]

And? Unless you actually stole this from me, it's not like you did anything to have it. [She blames the Sage and the pond for that.]

That makes you more reasonable than [herself] some of the people here...

[She snorts.] I think that's the first time I've ever been called "reasonable," but I guess I'll take it.

What do people usually call you?

"Traitor," "monster," "crazy bitch," not actually calling me anything but just screaming the moment they see me—things like that. [Regular names anyone would use!]

[Oh well in that case.]

Not very popular where you're from, huh?

Nope. Almost everyone wants me dead. [Unsurprisingly......]

Did you do something, or...?

I guess you could say that. [No Zero, there's no guessing about it.] It's mostly because I'm trying to kill my sisters.

...And why were you trying to kill your sisters?

They're annoying as hell and all have something that's mine.

[Yikes.]

Yeah, something. [narrowing her eyes] What's it to you anyways?

You're very mysterious, Zero-san. Is it weird to be a little curious?

Kinda. It's not like any of this would be useful to you.

Not everything has to be useful. Even I'd like to get to know the people I'm stuck living with from now on.

And you'd really like to get to know a skilled murderer?

[That gives her a small laugh.]

[Like she's one to talk?? But she knows that, so she doesn't say anything more on it.]

Alright then. My sisters all have some of my power, and I want it back.

Are you killing them because you're mad at them for taking it, or...?

They didn't take it. I guess it's not their fault that they have it. [She shrugs.] Killing them is the only way to take it back though.
