Week 2

Friday's harrowing events are clear in the minds of many—first and foremost, the death of Rika Furude, and of course the reveal and subsequent "sentencing" of Asch the Bloody. It also serves well as a reminder to everyone that the gloves are off, there won't be an easy way out for anyone and it is unlikely that there will be an option to 'wait it out' in the hopes of not participating in this 'game'. Or, as The Sage and The Teishu put it:

The Challenge.

Despite how you felt about the trial, it's likely that some rest would be welcome after all that transpired. Fortunately, some of your fellow warriors have taken it upon themselves to provide a reprieve of sorts, if you'd rather not be alone.

As if the events of the trial are supposed to be nothing but routine, dawns comes once more Sunday morning, punctuated with the sound of the rooster crowing obnoxiously. Any light sleepers hoping for their rest to not be disturbed may find themselves disappointed. Though, if anyone should wish, they may feel free to try to fall back asleep.

But, maybe that time can be better spent wandering. It seems that some places may have mysteriously unveiled themselves. It might do well to check them out. Or not. How anyone chooses to spend their time is ultimately up to them.

[He guesses?? He's a fucking fashion disaster no expert on girls' fashions so there's not going to be any commentary on what would go well with it but. He'll give it a flat stare for a bit.]

It'd stick out like a sore thumb, and it'd probably get in the way, too.

No, I just mean that if someone's trying to kill you, it'd be better if you weren't running around in a tutu. The cloaks are stupid too.

I'm wearing a pencil skirt. I don't think either of those would be a downgrade in terms of mobility.

I can get around quite quickly in my normal work uniform, of course, but to outrun someone...? [ On planes she doesn't need to do that. ]

Not all of us arrived in the most useful clothing.

I meant in general. No matter what you get, the options suck for you so you might as well go for it.

But alright, alright, if he doesn't want to go that far or for anyone else to do it, then that's his choice... ]

If you're that interested, I'll let you know if I get another one. I'm not a charity though, so make sure you have something you're willing to negotiate with.

[ She is oddly satisfied with how this conversation went even though absolutely nothing got accomplished whatsoever. ]

[Not true! A dress getting charred may have been accomplished, even if that wasn't necessarily related to the content of the conversation!

I'd take information too, for the record. It'd have to be good, though, and not something that's already been spread around here.

Sorry, all my information definitely goes to my roommates first of all. We've decided to work together as a team as closely as possible, so I have that responsibility to them.

[Well really... he can't really fault her for that. It would be hers to use at her own discretion, and if sharing it with other people is something she'd prefer to do instead of using it as a bargain chip, then that's her choice. And hell, he can at least appreciate her honesty about it.]

Fine. We'll keep it to material items, then. [There's a pause.] If you get any metal trinkets and jewelry, let me take a look at it too. I'm not gonna guarantee a trade, but they're something I had on me before I got here.

[ She smiles. What goes unsaid is that she wouldn't really keep people's belongings from them anyway, so if she had anything of Mahiro's he'd get it, but... shh. ]
