I'm not making any promises, Jansen. I may not want to find out first hand, but it's not as though I, or anyone else, truly has a say in the matter. Mako was killed for the crime of defending himself from two assailants. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Then how's this: if I die next week or anytime before we all find a way home I want you to know now that I'm not scared of dying. It sucks, but it's something that happens to us all. Those two boys ambushed Mako knowing that they'd die if they didn't take action. Mako... he went too far in defending himself, but I can't say that I condemn him for it either.

That's neither here nor there anymore. What's this about the "Emperor," Nishitani-san? How were you able to contact him?

[ Well, they must've been close for Misora to defend the killer like that. Nishitani keeps his mouth shut -- mostly because he likes Misora and isn't about to argue the point with her. It's not like he was there at the trial either, so he can't say much. ]
