ain't no party like a murdergame afterparty, cw: some mentions of alcohol
[--cuz a murdergame afterparty is horrifying and sad and possibly a little threatening if Mahiro insists on bringing his gun with him, please don't do that buddy.
Honestly, guys, we're running out of cooks at this rate. But it's nice to gather after horrifying events, and so while Rosalind's cooking skills are absolutely terrible, her alcohol-pouring skills are a little better. Come have a glass of wine or three and ruminate on the fact that there's only fourteen of us left.]

Although even when she's done with dinner, she...keeps cooking. And keeps cooking. And is probably cooking well into the night.
It's how she's distracting herself, don't look at her like that. ]

but Hanyuu is her new sleepover buddy apparently so no matter how late it gets Tiki is just gonna be here, sitting on a tall chair and kicking her feet under it, sometimes eating more curry?? she can't eat all of this food but by god she'll try to make a dent in it]

...you can go to bed, if you'd like, Tiki-chan. I know you don't sleep much, but you do not have to wait in the kitchen with me.
no subject
I know I don't have to. [nibble nibble chew] But I'd like to.
no subject
If you're sure.
[ ... ]
Say, is there any kind of cookies you like the best? I was going to make a little more.
[ hanyuu you have made ENOUGH ]

[ what has the world come to where tiki is the voice of reason in the conversation PUT THE MIXING SPOON DOWN, HANYUU ]
no subject
...I...like the chocolate ones, but you already made a bunch... [BUT HANYUU LOOKS SO ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT THE IDEA] If you're going to make more, let me help.

...I guess it is a lot of sugar to eat before bedtime.
no subject
I'll help you put away the leftovers. [But first she shoves the entire rest of the cookie in her hand into her mouth and grabs one more. "Too much sugar" her ass!!!]

It's been a long five weeks, hasn't it.
no subject
It feels like it has been much longer.

[She sighs softly.]
It isn't simply the death, but the slow countdown. I'd almost prefer it happen all at once.
no subject
...there is seemingly nothing we can do to stop it, either. Feeling this helpless is maddening.
no subject
[She exhales harshly.]
And I think you've the right thought. If you can't fix things, you can at least keep busy, and be helpful in some fashion. Though it hardly helps in a case like this.
. . . sometimes I think it might be worth learning to fight, if only to have something guaranteed to keep my mind occupied.
no subject
...ah. Well. You can thank Kizakura for that, he gave that advice when Rika died. If I didn't know what to do with myself, I should keep myself busy.
If you're interested, why don't you try asking Majima and Nishitani? I'm sure they would be...enthusiastic.
[ she's not much of a teacher, herself ]
no subject
[Rosalind knows better than to encourage Nishitani, I say, knowing what she does tomorrow evening. Ah, narrative irony.]
But given I'm not inclined towards fighting, I tend to decline the lessons. But it might be worth pushing through the distaste.
no subject
[ being that they are in murdercastle. though hahahaha look where it got mako, yesterday.
she turns around and leans her back against the counter, better facing Rosalind ]
But ah, that's right, you don't fight...you're a scientist, right?

She watches idly as Hanyuu cooks almost obsessively, still chewing her food when she asks:]
You cooking that much because we're running out of people who cook? [#conversationstarters]
no subject
No, not really. It just gives me something to do. A distraction.
no subject
[She sighs, shoveling another spoonful of curry into her mouth. She'd like a distraction from being bored, but she's not betting on anything helping with that any time soon.]
no subject
Would you want me to get you a drink, it's probably exhausting to be so close to a hot stove for so long.
no subject
[ it's mainly wine she doesn't like, but she's not much of a drinker in general ]
no subject
[He may be a bit of a
lushconnoisseur, but it's not all wine and roses]no subject
[ look, everyone's drinking tonight anyway ]
Well, that's fine, then. It is certainly very hot in here.
