Honestly, guys, we're running out of cooks at this rate. But it's nice to gather after horrifying events, and so while Rosalind's cooking skills are absolutely terrible, her alcohol-pouring skills are a little better. Come have a glass of wine or three and ruminate on the fact that there's only fourteen of us left.]

[Georik did what he usually does when stressed - throw himself into that notebook, writing like a mad man, but he gratefully accepts the alcohol Rosalind is slinging, his pen tapping on the page, seeming to be stuck on something]

Who... just... damn, more riddles and vaguely worded statements, I'd give my arm for a straight answer.

[The first sign showing anyone that Ayumu's affected by all of this is probably that Ayumu isn't in the kitchen. He's not cooking tonight, he's just eating a sandwich off in some quiet corner.

[It's not that she doesn't believe the Teishu, but after today, Ros wants personal confirmation that both her roommates are relatively unharmed. So soon she'll be heading out of the great hall and up the stairs, knocking a few times before ducking her head in.]

[ They're pretty bandaged and probably got threatened into laying down tbh because staying in bed to recover isn't their style... but when you get to a certain age, this shit happens. It's inevitable.

They've finished the trial. It was Mako. A case of self-defense. Mahiro shot him before he could be properly executed, however.

The trial, if Mako wasn't a good man, either Mahiro or I would've been executed.

[And honestly, given Mahiro's response... while it's more merciful than what that old hooded goat would've done, he probably wouldn't feel too bad if Mahiro had got convicted, but unlike Mako - he's not a good man]

But there's so many puzzles and mysteries in this place, in this stupid fucking ritual and the players.

So Miyamura-kun tried ta kill Mako-chan?

[She flaps a hand until they make room for her on a corner of the bed.]

From what I understand, Miyamura went out to kill Mako. Jin followed along, and Mako killed them both in self-defense. Mahiro took exception to this, and given he'd brought his gun with him to the trial, decided to simply step in and take things into his own hands.

[A pause. She adds:]

. . . the Teishu seemed more than happy to let him.

[ Well, she's not drinking, but she is cooking if anyone wants food. HURRIEDLY-MADE CURRY AND SOUP FOR ALL, RIGHT DOWN IN THE KITCHEN.

Although even when she's done with dinner, she...keeps cooking. And keeps cooking. And is probably cooking well into the night.

It's how she's distracting herself, don't look at her like that. ]

Well, that water spirit made it's appearance again, I was there to see it this time. It said simply to stop and then a word I could not make out in the bubbles, but then it lost... I'm not sure what to describe it as, connection, or presence, something like that.

Anyways, before that, it asked if people were missing their powers, then stated specifically I was missing a 'who' not a 'what'.

[ Nishitani scoots a little to allow her more room. It hurts to move but that's totally fine. ]

Sounds like "justice was served," eh?

[ He'll certainly respect Mahiro a lot more from here on. ]

Guessin' Mako-chan didn't try ta get away with it?

No. He admitted it later on in the trial.

[He was too scared to admit it earlier, and frankly, Rosalind can't blame him. She sighs and leans back, settling more against the bed, trying to avoid jostling either of them. Trying, because admittedly she's had two glasses of wine and her reflexes aren't what they should be, but it's not as if she's dead drunk.]

Once a few of us noticed his arm was bleeding . . . they even did that-- you know-- strip check, but he crossed his arms and hid the wound from us.

Strip check is always more fuckin' trouble than it's worth. Like what the fuck is gonna happen if me an' Nishitani strip, we're always fightin'.

[ she bumps into him a bit but he doesnt mind ]

Nishitani, Kizakura, and Mahiro were also there at the time. I overheard them talking, but didn't good look at what their bubbles say.

But the fact this water spirit even brought up powers, I wonder if they were trying to hint a way to get them back?

Right, ain't like anybody would get too good a hit on us anyway. Could just say Majima here gave it ta me.

[ Nishitani shrugs as best he can, wincing. ]

Wasn't Mako-chan a detective? Must notta been too good if he wasn't turnin' himself over.

Oddly enough, he was fairly active during the trial. He said he didn't want to pin it on someone else . . . I suppose he wanted us to figure it out, so he didn't have to admit it.

[She rubs her face and sighs. It's been a long day, and this is the best conversation she's had yet. More briskly, then:]

In any case. I'm glad to see you two truly are only suffering from the results of a sound beating, though I think that's the last time the Teishu is going to fight you two. A shame, really; I would have liked to see him in action.
