All's well that ends well
[ So you've wished the dead back to life, but there's still 2 wishes you have to make. Ultimately what happens from here is entirely in your hands, but for the first time in eight weeks everyone is alive and whole again (even that pesky merman). There is that corruption you should deal with, but surely you know what to do about that.
Once you've settled and wound down a bit, maybe you should relax a bit before going your separate ways. You've earned it.

[He smiles back, more than a little fondly.]
But... though the others might think it's idealistic of me, I'm happy that you're back to your true self.
no subject
[ He'll move on from that, and... ]
I'm happy I am too. I know some people will likely want to have a long talk with me, but I think I'm properly prepared for the consequences.
[ Actually, he's not ready and he's entirely super nervous because he didn't think people would bring him to life. ]
no subject
[He chuckles, reaching out to pat him on his shoulder because boy does he look nervous.]
Just don't go letting them kill you, alright? Death makes for a poor apology.... and you deserve a second chance, given what you've been through. You lost your way, but you can still do more with your life, Masumi-san.
[And yes he's just gonna jump to first name basis YOU OWE HIM THAT.....]
no subject
Alright, I won't.
[ ...Ayumu saying that pretty much is going to prevent him from allowing that, but if someone hadn't told him to not let someone kill him, he would have just likely allowed it. ]
... I hope when you leave this place you at least get to spend your life in peace with your friends, Ayumu-kun.
no subject
Good. Living with it might not be easy, but if you want to atone, do it through your life, not your death.
[And really.... if he could get a second chance, Ayumu wanted him to take it. No one was irredeemable, and Masumi had clearly learned from his mistakes.
His smile grows a little sad at that, though.]
And I'm going to do my best to live my life with no regrets, Masumi-san... I can promise you that much.
no subject
I didn't think I would even be granted the chance, but when you put it like that, it seems really disrespectful to throw it away so easily.
[ ... ]
I'm glad that you are. Ah, Ayumu-kun, do you still have the omamori, or did you...dispose of it?
no subject
[He pauses though, at the mention of the omamori.]
I do, yes. What I said earlier was.... an attempt to persuade, I suppose.
[He looks a little embarrassed for a moment.]
But I didn't throw it away. I'm not so callous as that.
[Honestly, it wasn't often people wished him well or gave him gifts to begin with.]
1/2
[ Masumi seems to really brighten up at that. Seems he was worrying all this time it might've been thrown away... ]
2/2
[ He's smiling. ]
Even if you don't believe in luck, it might still work as a protective charm at least.
no subject
[A little bit of honesty, which is alright to share now, at the end. He wasn't going to forget anyone he's met here, he thinks. It had certainly been... an enlightening experience.
He looks a little curious, though, at the mention of it being a protective charm.]
Hm? Protective.....?
no subject
[ He rubs the back of his head sheepishly. ]
I didn't tell you that at the time because of...how I was.
I'm not sure it would've worked anyway since these are meant to be more or less applicable for swords, but...
1/2
[He looks... surprised, and frankly touched by Masumi's gift. Maybe it'd help, maybe it wouldn't, but the fact alone that he knew what Ayumu was going through and had given him this...
The sentiment alone meant quite a bit to him, honestly.]
2/2
[He smiles softly-- but the expression is completely genuine.]
You're welcome to visit, you know. If you'd like. I can't promise Tokyo would agree with you, but I promise to cook for you anytime.
no subject
[ It's honestly been awhile since he's been this happy, but as Rika said...even he deserved to be happy, right? ]
Alright. I'll see about visiting you sometime. I really don't want this to be the last time we've ever spoken with each other. And...Ayumu-kun?
no subject
[He did deserve to be happy. In Ayumu's opinion, everyone had a right to reach for happiness, regardless of their past mistakes.... and Masumi, for all he'd done, seemed to have a very gentle soul sans the corruption.]
Hm?
no subject
no subject
Well he certainly didn't expect that... not that he ever expected hugs from people, but from Masumi--
Well. Ayumu's stiff with surprise for a moment before carefully, awkwardly returning the hug with a small smile. He's clearly unused to this sort of thing still... not that it would surprise Masumi any.]
no subject
..So this is what it feels like to give someone a hug.
[ Masumi then closes his eyes with a smile; as long as Ayumu's returning the hug willingly then he'll consider it a success! ]
no subject
Of course, this would be a little weird for Masumi, too. Ayumu relaxes into the hug a little, somehow reassured by that fact. He doesn't have to worry so much about doing it 'properly' or anything. Ayumu's smile grows a little more easy at Masumi's laugh.]
Yeah. It's nice and warm isn't it?
