Week 2
Friday's harrowing events are clear in the minds of many—first and foremost, the death of Rika Furude, and of course the reveal and subsequent "sentencing" of Asch the Bloody. It also serves well as a reminder to everyone that the gloves are off, there won't be an easy way out for anyone and it is unlikely that there will be an option to 'wait it out' in the hopes of not participating in this 'game'. Or, as The Sage and The Teishu put it:
The Challenge.
Despite how you felt about the trial, it's likely that some rest would be welcome after all that transpired. Fortunately, some of your fellow warriors have taken it upon themselves to provide a reprieve of sorts, if you'd rather not be alone.
As if the events of the trial are supposed to be nothing but routine, dawns comes once more Sunday morning, punctuated with the sound of the rooster crowing obnoxiously. Any light sleepers hoping for their rest to not be disturbed may find themselves disappointed. Though, if anyone should wish, they may feel free to try to fall back asleep.
But, maybe that time can be better spent wandering. It seems that some places may have mysteriously unveiled themselves. It might do well to check them out. Or not. How anyone chooses to spend their time is ultimately up to them.

[Hmmmm. Maybe they should look into it.]
But it's so grimy, I can't help but think it might be better to clean it up a bit. You never know what might be hiding among the mess.

[ We've all seen what happened to poor Chiaki... ]

[Sen frowns.]
...no, you're right. That's far too cruel.

[ She looks over the rooms, shivering a little. The idea of locking anyone in here is less than pleasant, but of course it would never happen to good people... ]
Minimizes the time in which someone would need to guard them.

[Sen's down with throwing someone into the cells as long as they deserve it, honestly. She's seen worse. However:]
Thankfully, it does not seem as though such a thing will be necessary just yet. The trial aside, most of us are remarkably well-behaved during the day.

There were a lot of people who believed in Mr Asch's innocent and he certainly didn't strike anyone as more or less dangerous than the organized criminals... but.... he still did it.
no subject
[He didn't kill Rika until shortly before everyone woke up.]
Until people begin getting injured or... worse... during the daytime and in the earlier parts of the week, locking somebody up during the day won't accomplish much aside from making them upset enough to strike back, I fear. For us to lock someone up must be a retaliatory act, not a preemptive one.

Right now, our sense of unity may be our biggest shield. The dungeons can't be anything but a last measure...

[Sen huffs.]
That, at least, would have been useful.

I'm wondering if more places will become available should we be forced to stay here longer, but I'm unsure where they would even fit anymore.
[ It will get immensely boring to have to spend a long time with just what they have though... ]
no subject
[Who knows, she doesn't know.]
I suppose only time will tell.

[ .... ]
... but with magic at play, who knows. I haven't gotten used to that yet.

[The clouds and the sky and all... why are they on a floating hunk of rock]
no subject
Being up in the clouds doesn't bother me at all, but in these conditions...? I'd hope it was all illusion.

[Sen's expression is deadly serious, and her words ring true.]
As there is this doubt... I would advise against anyone breaking the rules, for now. The loss of life we are already facing is quite bad enough on its own without adding to it.
no subject
Best not tempt your fate... There must be a more reasonable way to figure this out and if we stay calm and in our seats, metaphorically, we'll eventually come to a conclusion that will allow us to find it.
If we get ourselves hurt in an attempt to get information, it will just bring disquiet.
