Week 2

Friday's harrowing events are clear in the minds of many—first and foremost, the death of Rika Furude, and of course the reveal and subsequent "sentencing" of Asch the Bloody. It also serves well as a reminder to everyone that the gloves are off, there won't be an easy way out for anyone and it is unlikely that there will be an option to 'wait it out' in the hopes of not participating in this 'game'. Or, as The Sage and The Teishu put it:

The Challenge.

Despite how you felt about the trial, it's likely that some rest would be welcome after all that transpired. Fortunately, some of your fellow warriors have taken it upon themselves to provide a reprieve of sorts, if you'd rather not be alone.

As if the events of the trial are supposed to be nothing but routine, dawns comes once more Sunday morning, punctuated with the sound of the rooster crowing obnoxiously. Any light sleepers hoping for their rest to not be disturbed may find themselves disappointed. Though, if anyone should wish, they may feel free to try to fall back asleep.

But, maybe that time can be better spent wandering. It seems that some places may have mysteriously unveiled themselves. It might do well to check them out. Or not. How anyone chooses to spend their time is ultimately up to them.

[This morning, when Edna opens her door, something interrupts her plans. Pausing, she blinks and kneels down, finding a plush bunny, bouquet of roses and a short note. At first she seems genuinely surprised, reading the note quietly-- yet still aloud, for anyone who might want to snoop investigate and see what's going on.]

"I thought you might like these... Ufemew Wexub."

[Well that's a name.]

...really?

[Her tone is deadpan as she looks over the gifts again. It's better than a giant clay pot but.]

dungeon.

[If you should go to the dungeon today you might notice at some point the chest that was once unlocked and open is now closed-- though it doesn't look any more locked than it was before?

...investigate?]

[Yes, investigate. Kizakura's pretty sure he left the chest open, did the Sage put something inside? Better take a look]

[breakingthrough]

[There does appear to be something inside it! It's a well drawn map of the castle's yard, including both the wishing pond and the sakura tree. Most noticeably there seems to be a mark over what looks to be a grassy patch, a few feet to the south of the pond.

Kizakura has a few moments to give it a good look before Edna appears, peeking around him.]

...what did you find?

[Kizakura takes the map out of the chest, examining it carefully]

Looks like some kind of map. Did Sage-san leave it here recently? It wasn't here on Sunday.

[That indeed looks like a mark]

Do you remember if there's anything special about this part of the yard?]

[She seems to think about it.]

Not really. I haven't seen anything that stands out.

Think there's something there?

There could be. This looks important. [He folds the map to take it with him and looks at Edna] Are you free right now? Just in case, there should be someone with me if there's something important there. You know, so someone else other than me is a witness.

[ Wow, that's such a sweet gesture?? Rhoda is amazed and maybe kind of starry-eyed as she walks past.... and then stops walking past to talk to Edna instead. ]

Have you found an admirer already?

[breakingthrough]

[There are a few people here who really get excited about that kind of thing, huh?]

[She picks at the bouquet--]

Roses are a bit much though. [She would have preferred something a bit softer in color...] Do you like them?

[ She nods. ]

Roses aren't the queens of the flower world for nothing. They're extremely expressive yet delicate and pretty...

[ Rhoda is absolutely a romantic at heart. ]

You're lucky.

Oh? So they're significant.

[She doesn't know much about flowers and their meanings despite being an earth seraph. So it's kind of interesting. Carefully, Edna plucks one from the bunch and hands it to Rhoda.]

Here. It would go good with your uniform, wouldn't it?

Heh, do you have a secret admirer? [ gasp, where's hiyono to get the scoop on this! ]

[She takes the staff she's carried with her since the first week and gives him a swift (but not too brutal) bop on the head with it.]

[ ow, but he'll accept this in the name of tough love. pain is gain! ]

This is the face of excitement! [ he scoots closer. ] So who is it?

[Edna hands the letter over casually so he can see the sender's letter.]

Maybe someone's been watching us.

[It's Miyamura. She wasn't going to turn down an opportunity to troll.]

"Ufemew Wexub"? [ only he says it like "oofew weeb" because saying it correctly is effort. ] Who the hell? Sounds like a nerd.

[ he looks around and doesn't see anyone. huh. ]

So, is Weeb-kun right?

[She's only just holding back her laughter honestly.]

[He probably totally mangled that name but it doesn't even sound like a real word to him so meh.]

[The proof that this person back from the dead really is her brother.

Everyone's attempts to say it are making her week. Although it's totally valid. It's... special]
