Week 2

Friday's harrowing events are clear in the minds of many—first and foremost, the death of Rika Furude, and of course the reveal and subsequent "sentencing" of Asch the Bloody. It also serves well as a reminder to everyone that the gloves are off, there won't be an easy way out for anyone and it is unlikely that there will be an option to 'wait it out' in the hopes of not participating in this 'game'. Or, as The Sage and The Teishu put it:

The Challenge.

Despite how you felt about the trial, it's likely that some rest would be welcome after all that transpired. Fortunately, some of your fellow warriors have taken it upon themselves to provide a reprieve of sorts, if you'd rather not be alone.

As if the events of the trial are supposed to be nothing but routine, dawns comes once more Sunday morning, punctuated with the sound of the rooster crowing obnoxiously. Any light sleepers hoping for their rest to not be disturbed may find themselves disappointed. Though, if anyone should wish, they may feel free to try to fall back asleep.

But, maybe that time can be better spent wandering. It seems that some places may have mysteriously unveiled themselves. It might do well to check them out. Or not. How anyone chooses to spend their time is ultimately up to them.

Jus' surprisin' that ya ain't the one in charge in that case. What's Sage-chan got that ya don't?

[ The smallest of smiles—looks like it will. ]

Suffice it to say, my training is not entirely complete yet.

[maddogs]

[ look at that.... ]

Can't be easy ta keep workin' on it with all of these fuckers around.

[ present company, including himself, included. ]

[ Incredible. ]

Yeah, must be some fuckin' trainin' if he ain't lettin' ya run the show after all this.

[teishu]

Considering you are part of my training, not at all. But my hope is that once this particular exercise is complete, that my training will be as well.

[maddogs]

You'll be a good leader when your turn comes around!

Yeah! Hell, ya'll be a lot more fun than Sage-chan, that's fer sure!

[ No offense to Sage-chan but Sage-chan doesn't join them for fun fights?? So he's the boring one. ]

[teishu]

[ So he's just nodding until Nishitani says the word "fun". And he just kinda-freezes up? Like he has no idea what to do with his face here. ]

"Fun"? [ Did you guys just break the Teishu...]

[maddogs]

[ majima laughs. damn the teishu is cute and he'd point it out but he's pretty sure nishitani is going to, any second now, because that's the kind of thing nishitani says. ]

Fuck yeah! He means fightin', 'cause ya agreed ta fight both of us.

[ he has some Opinions about the sage and fighting too but he'll keep them to himself for now. ]

For Nishitani an' me, it's the greatest thing ever, ya know? Gets the blood pumpin'.

[buddyoldpal]

[ Nishitani cackles just as well. Did they make the Teishu blush, holy shit??? ]

Damn, Teishu-kun, who knew ya could pull off being' so damn cute!

[ Yes... making men flustered. That's how Nishitani shows affection. ]

It's like Majima said! Fightin's fun! Ain't nothin' better than that!

[teishu]

[ He is not blushing but he sure is just making a bunch of faces before he tries to settle into his typical stoic one. And he's just ignoring that cute, you two are going to kill him what did he do to deserve this besides assisting in kidnapping you all.

Finally he manages to get out a sentence, after a decent pause.]

My old master told me I took things "too seriously".

[maddogs]

Aw, see, he was lookin' out for ya.

[buddyoldpal]

It ain't a bad look fer ya, pal! Yer old man musta been a nice guy.

[ It's a look they both certainly appreciate... ]

Ya been takin' his advice? Cause if ya need somebody ta teach ya how ta have fun, me an' Majima are ready an' waitin'!

[teishu]

...he was very compassionate, yes.

[ He shakes his head, wanting to move on from all of this. ]

I've made an effort, which I imagine appeases his spirit.

[maddogs]

[ majima can see it - the way his words don't quite match how comfortable he is with this. it's an easy thing to see, because it's an emotional place he's been before many times. he reaches over, putting a hand on nishitani's shoulder. a silent gesture asking him to drop it for now. ]

I'm sure that's the case. We should let ya get back, though, ain't no point ta standing out here with us old folks admiring the scenery.

Ah, but if ya wanna fight again, ya always know where ta find us.

[buddyoldpal]

[ Ah, Majima. You and your tact. It's a good thing Nishitani will do literally anything for you.

He lets it drop. Not everyone's dead mentors come back to life, so that's fair. ]

Yeah, maybe with the two of us we might stand a chance against ya, eh?

[teishu]

[ There's a faint smile. ]

Perhaps.
