Week 2

Friday's harrowing events are clear in the minds of many—first and foremost, the death of Rika Furude, and of course the reveal and subsequent "sentencing" of Asch the Bloody. It also serves well as a reminder to everyone that the gloves are off, there won't be an easy way out for anyone and it is unlikely that there will be an option to 'wait it out' in the hopes of not participating in this 'game'. Or, as The Sage and The Teishu put it:

The Challenge.

Despite how you felt about the trial, it's likely that some rest would be welcome after all that transpired. Fortunately, some of your fellow warriors have taken it upon themselves to provide a reprieve of sorts, if you'd rather not be alone.

As if the events of the trial are supposed to be nothing but routine, dawns comes once more Sunday morning, punctuated with the sound of the rooster crowing obnoxiously. Any light sleepers hoping for their rest to not be disturbed may find themselves disappointed. Though, if anyone should wish, they may feel free to try to fall back asleep.

But, maybe that time can be better spent wandering. It seems that some places may have mysteriously unveiled themselves. It might do well to check them out. Or not. How anyone chooses to spend their time is ultimately up to them.

One with the highest priority!! And even you'll get punished for not listening, Vice-President! [ Sorry for vaguely bringing you into this, Mahiro. Vaguely. Anyway, anyway, he stands and, uh, still doesn't let go.

Leaving is hard. ]

[ he laughs a little because that's real cute. kurosaki seems to be a little happier, too, so that lessens some of the guilt he feels. ]

You have to let go if you wanna leave. [ not to state the obvious or anything. ]

... yeah, I know. [ If only he didn't wanna watch his face and have that break so badly. He's picky about his appearance, even after having his heart ripped out then carefully put back in place. ] I'm going now, but...

[ Is this okay to say? He doesn't know. He doesn't wanna pressure Miyamura too much ('cause, seriously, he's probably pressured him a little too much already), at the same time he doesn't want to potentially hold back everything. Miyamura has to see more of him, that includes this. Probably.

He leans in and whispers into Miyamura's ear. ] You're adorable when you act like this, Miyamura-kun.

[ Finally lettin' go and backing away. ] If that's all, I'll be back soon!

[ that's - uh. he's really not prepared for that. no one... thinks that about him?? except his loving sister. and now kurosaki apparently. but cute + miyamura usually don't add up, arguably doesn't even make mathematical sense. he's been called disgusting, perverted, creepy, idiotic. he's been called cool, handsome, collected, dangerous.

but.

cute? what.

and that's how he ends up watching kurosaki leave with the most awkwardly embarrassed look on his face. honestly, it's an overwhelmingly ugly expression. ]

Yes! Later! [ Excuse, it's an overwhelmingly endearing expression!!! And Kurosaki is a million times more charmed now that he's seen it. This is new territory for him—it feels like he's making progress. Weird, confusing, crazy progress but progress all the same.

He leaves the room with his heart a fluttery mess, his head suffering from an intense migraine, and an immense sense of accomplishment that he isn't 100% positive he deserves. Still. Success. And not a broken heart!

Kurosaki stops outside Miyamura's door long enough to give a happy fist bump and basically run off to clean himself up. ]
