Week 3

Sunday - Thursday

The beginning of the third week starts like the rest, even with the loss of three of your fellow warriors: Chiaki, Hei, and Senhime. Despite your best hopes, it doesn't seem like the trend of murders is going to change: though at least there is some relief to be had from the trial's somewhat unexpected conclusion. The mood in the group is undoubtedly different, but perhaps this experience has made you all stronger— at least one could hope.

In the end, what else can you do but move on?

Like last week, it seems another pattern has established itself: with new areas of the castle for you to explore. Who knows, maybe this week you'll discover something else worthwhile in its depths. Or you can simply focus on surviving— after the past week, surely no one can blame you. Whatever choices you make this week are ultimately yours and yours alone, for better or for worse.

I suppose not... But it'd be nice if he could be a little kinder.

[Grumbling.]

But don't mind me. You finally found your beloved music, didn't you?

[She's curious!! Maybe he'll let her listen...]

[Hm. He'll let that drop, for now, since she requested it and all, but he does file that away for later. Maybe he'll get the chance to get a good word in for Hiyono later.]

Looks like it. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these needed some tuning up, but...

[He beelines for a violin.]

If you give me a few to make sure this is all good, I can play something for you, if you want!

[he really hopes she wants to hear because he is so excited]

[To be perfectly fair she does have a tendency to shoot herself in the foot.]

I'd love that! [Elliot you're the best.] Although I'm not very familiar with many violin songs...

[He's gathered as much, yes. But still, clothes-stealing and generally being a menace aside, Hiyono is nice and Ayumu should be nice to her!!

Elliot logic is not strictly good logic, you see.]

That's okay. You don't have to be familiar with songs to enjoy them, right? [He grins at her and gets to work making sure the violin's tuned and ready to go.]

[And this is why he, too, can be a waifu.]

That's true, that's true!

[She'll go ahead and pull up a seat while he gets the violin in order.]

[After some fiddling and testing, the strings are tuned up, the bow is all set, and the violin is ready to go.

With a smile, Elliot lifts the violin to playing position, puts the bow to the strings, and begins.

It's a gentle melody, one that he used to play for Rean every now and again back at Thors. He's always found it soothing, and he's sure Rean felt the same - he can only hope that continues with Hiyono now.

Regardless, right now, Elliot is completely in his element, and the happiest he's been since he showed up here. If nothing else, happiness can be contagious.]

[She settles down in her seat as he plays, a peaceful look on her face. She's got a soft spot for Ayumu's playing, of course, but even she has to admit that Elliot is quite talented too.

~~Congrats Elliot you actually got her to be quiet for once.~~]

[Well, of course. The new waifu faces stiff competition from the OG waifu, after all!

When he finishes the song, he lowers his bow and violin and takes a little bow. What a cute dork.]

[She remains silent even as he finishes, only clapping as he bows.]

That was amazing Elliot-san!

[She's definitely feeling better for having heard it, too. Success!]

[He grins, pleased both with just being able to do that again and her reaction.]

Thank you! I'm probably starting to get a little rusty, but I'm glad you liked it.

That's right... you have to keep practicing those movements all the time, don't you?

[Even though it's only been a few weeks...]

Yeah, pretty much. And just in general, I always feel a lot better when I'm practicing every day.

Sort of like a way to relieve stress?

Yeah. It's when I'm most comfortable, I guess, so I always feel better when I can just let go and be like that for a little while.

...Narumi-san really needs to follow your example.

If he really does love piano, I'm sure he'd feel better if he did. I dunno if we can force him to do anything he really doesn't want to do, but...

[but he is certainly going to try. One does not give 100% to music in his presence!]

Depending on how you suggest it, you might not have to force it...

[Uh-oh.]

[That sounds dangerous.]

Narumi-san loves helping others. If you ask him to please play a duet with you, it'll be harder for him to turn down.

[Hiyono why are you like this.]

That's not a bad idea, actually! [Hiyono, why are you like this, but also why are you playing right into Elliot's weakness?] Playing a duet would be super fun, too! Outside of classes, it's been forever since I got to just do a random performance with one of my buddies.

[She's efficient!]

Right! And maybe you two could even perform for everyone here, too. It would be a great morale boost, I'm sure!

[Oh no, this idea is meeting all his standards!!]

You're right! Ah, that'd be so much fun... guess I'll have to see if I can't hunt him down sometime soon, then.

[Hiyono you are corrupting the cinnamon roll how could you]

[She's efficient.]

I'm sure he'll come to the music room eventually. You could even ambush him in here!

That would make it easier! And if he does, I'm sure to run into him, 'cause I have a loooot of practice to make up for in here.
