Week 3
Week 3
Sunday - Thursday
The beginning of the third week starts like the rest, even with the loss of three of your fellow warriors: Chiaki, Hei, and Senhime. Despite your best hopes, it doesn't seem like the trend of murders is going to change: though at least there is some relief to be had from the trial's somewhat unexpected conclusion. The mood in the group is undoubtedly different, but perhaps this experience has made you all stronger— at least one could hope.
In the end, what else can you do but move on?
Like last week, it seems another pattern has established itself: with new areas of the castle for you to explore. Who knows, maybe this week you'll discover something else worthwhile in its depths. Or you can simply focus on surviving— after the past week, surely no one can blame you. Whatever choices you make this week are ultimately yours and yours alone, for better or for worse.

[Well.]
Nothing important anyway. Feel like doing my nails, too?
[Whether she's serious or teasing is touch difficult to discern.]
no subject
Do it yourself if you really wanna. It's not like I'm going to use up all of this myself, anyways.
[So yeah, he just kind of lightly tosses the bottle of nail polish at her. One day he'll stop throwing random objects at her, but today is not that day.]
no subject
She catches it with relative ease, but chucks it right back at him.]
It's only worth it if you do it for me, Mahiro-kun.
no subject
Why would you want a teenage boy to go painting your nails.
no subject
[Translation: She's mostly curious to see if he'll actually do it. But details, schmetails. There is something else
she's wondering about here, but... secret.]
no subject
So what made you suddenly decide that a battle royale would be a good time to start trying it out?
no subject
[A shrug.]
I'm not inclined to do the former.

[She sighs and sits on the grass next to Mahiro. Sure he didn't invite her to sit, but if she waited for an invitation we all know the she'd be waiting all day.]
But a couple of people who do take that position are telling me I should give this a try.
[Teasing:]
You're my lab rat for today, Mahiro-kun.
no subject
You shouldn't let yourself get nagged into doing stuff so easily. Besides, I haven't even agreed to this.
[Is what he says, but he puts his book down in the grass and just looks back at her with an arm propped on his knee.]
So what are you interested in, just both your hands? I'm not dealing with toes, for the record.
no subject
[She assures him before holding out her left hand. He may not have agreed to painting her nails yet, but if Tiki has proven anything it's that persistence is everything when it comes to Mahiro related endeavors. ...This is perhaps not the lesson she should be learning.]
Are you worried that I'm letting others push me around?
no subject
Ugh. Fine.]
You owe me for this, then. [Just putting it upfront, although it's not like he's actually started so Misora can back out if she's Unsure of what he'd ask for.]
No. But people that fall over their feet to please others are pathetic.
[such a charming thing to say...]
no subject
[She doesn't move her hand. though she does raise an eyebrow. Of course that's not what he's going to demand, but she's curious just what on earth this brat is going to ask for in return.]
Some people like to be liked.
[No physical shrug, but it's audible in her tone.]
no subject
If you get any metal accessories from the pond like necklaces and rings, I want first dibs on them.
no subject
I didn't know you were such a magpie. If I ever get my engagement ring back, you'll have to prise that out of my cold dead hands, but everything else is yours.
Deal?
no subject
Deal. It's not like I'm asking for other people's personal possessions here.
[Welp, with that settled. He'll just settle down and resign himself to painting Misora's nails. At least it's better than what happened with Tiki...]
Gimme one of your hands.
no subject
Uh-huh. Well it was good to have that clarified nevertheless.
[Just saying!! The yakuza, she thinks, wouldn't necessarily have cared to make that distinction.]
What were you reading before I interrupted you anyway?
no subject
Just something I got out of the pond. Hamlet.
[And it's laid down close enough nearby that she could probably grab it with her free hand if she cares to take a look.]
