ain't no party like a murdergame afterparty, cw: some mentions of alcohol
[--cuz a murdergame afterparty is horrifying and sad and possibly a little threatening if Mahiro insists on bringing his gun with him, please don't do that buddy.
Honestly, guys, we're running out of cooks at this rate. But it's nice to gather after horrifying events, and so while Rosalind's cooking skills are absolutely terrible, her alcohol-pouring skills are a little better. Come have a glass of wine or three and ruminate on the fact that there's only fourteen of us left.]

'Cause I can't curse my roommates if I don't have any.
[Flawless logic.]

[elliot????]

[Stupid or not, he's determined! So he's just gonna keep pushin' this bed b y e]
no subject
No, it doesn't, but neither does you being all alone. [pppause] Would you stop that?
[and she's going to try pushing the bed from the other direction??? no put that back]

no subject
Uh-uh! [WHEEZE, beds are heavy] If I do you're just gonna run off all on your own! [CAN'T HAVE THAT]
no subject
And why do you care about that?! [IT'S NOT LIKE HE'S GONNA DO ANYTHING STUPIDER THAN THAT? ...probably...]
no subject
Because—being alone's bad! [fuckin. nailed it. WHEEZES, SHE'S SO SMALL]
no subject
huff puff why must he be such a noodle]
no subject
and she puts her hands on her hips.
and she stands right in the way and makes direct eye contact]
no subject
...Are you serious?
no subject
Uh-huh.
[this is the most serious she's ever been as a person in her thousand years of life. HIT HER. DO IT]
no subject
but okay fine he shoves the bed a little further until it like. bonks her in the knees? And then stops.
Will she move yet.]
no subject
[POUTS REALLY INTENSELY
and doesn't move]
no subject
[Elliot your protest doesn't work if you stop to ask if the girl you're running over is okay but you do you]
...nngh. Look, Tiki, just... let me do this, okay? You're probably right that it's a bad idea, but... just let me see it through. And when I have to push the bed back later, I'll let you laugh at me the entire way.
Or you can sit on it while I push or something.
Okay?
no subject
[Her answer to that okay? is immediate, and that cross look on her face lingers for a moment but it falters, and then she just looks sad.]
I don't want to laugh at you. That would be mean.
[She puts her hands on the foot of the bed so she can lean forward against it.]
If it's a bad idea, don't do it. It's no good when you're all alone, and if you're already sad, it only makes it worse.
[...]
It's...been really hard, hasn't it..? I don't want you to have to be so sad... Is being away from people who like you really going to help?
no subject
It's kinda hard to get your bearings when you're always trying to hold it together in front of other people.
no subject
[She says it like it's easy, like that's all there is to it. She climbs up to the foot of the bed so she can sit down at its edge, legs crossed. If he tries moving this shit again she's absolutely going to restart the cycle don't you dare.]
Stop trying to be together all by yourself and cry for a bit and let someone take care of you.
no subject
I just wanna take care of myself for one night. At least. Is that so wrong?
no subject
[She stands up on the bed (she hasn't taken her shoes off, because apparently she was raised in a barn) and walks over to the other side so she can lean her hands on the headboard and look right at Elliot.]
And...you really don't think it's a bad idea, to be all by yourself right now? That's really, really, really what you really want?
[There's a genuine curiosity to the way she asks it; it isn't a judgement, but she wants an honest answer. A thousand years of isolation later, she can't imagine anyone seeking it out. She can't leave her friend alone if she thinks it's at all a cruelty.]
no subject
I don't know if it's a good idea, but I know it's what I want right now. I can always change my mind once people are up and at 'em tomorrow morning.
[He's pretty sure he'll owe them an apology if he does, but that's fine. The point is that he can't imagine them refusing him if he does change his mind - and, in a way, it's nice knowing he has that security with them.
All the more reason to try to keep himself away from them.]
no subject
[She frowns pretty intensely for a couple of moments, but so long as she's at this side of the bed instead, she's reaching over to pull Elliot into the best hug she can manage with the headboard in the way. There has to be some problem in the way if she's taken care of the height issue that makes hugs hard??]
I don't really understand, but...I really just want you to be happy.
no subject
death flaghug. That is a thing that's happening right now. He freezes in confusion for a second, but eventually, he hugs her back.]...Thanks, Tiki. I don't know how well I'm actually gonna do with that, in a place like this. I don't wanna make any promises to you I can't keep. [Because promises have meant a lot, here, especially to him.] But it means a lot to hear you say it.
no subject
Okay. Promise this instead, then. [She pulls back a little, keeping her hands on Elliot's shoulders, admittedly largely for balance, but it makes a great dramatic effect when she looks right at him.] If you're sad all by yourself, you'll go make sure you're not all by yourself anymore. [It's faint, but she smiles.] We can go play a game together or you can play me a song if you don't know what to do, okay?
no subject
All right. That's a promise I can keep, I think.
You're with Hanyuu now, right?
