week 8
Week 8
Sunday - Thursday
Whatever hopes you had going into the final trial have been dashed—after the execution, most of you were left with that unfortunate revelation, those bitter betrayals, and a lingering sense of regret over your failures. Even now, some of you may find it difficult to feel joy over the fact that everything is almost at an end. Understandably so, and even if things had been different, there's nothing that would erase your knowledge of the Emperor's ominous warning; a warning you either failed to heed or simply didn't know how to prevent.
In order to get through this new week, you will all need to pull yourselves together and work as a team. Some of you have already begun the process of trying to piece everything together. It's a start, but there's still much for you to discuss. After all, it wouldn't do to just suddenly discard all that information given to you, would it?
This week there aren't any new areas for you to explore. The only change in scenary comes from the sakura tree, and it's one that's hard to miss. The tree stands tall, branches full and lively, and the entire area around it seems that much more vibrant for it. The tree is in full bloom, a clear sign that your time in this castle has come to an end.
Anyone who tries to come too close to the tree will find themselves blocked by a white barrier.

Tried the Pond, too, but Pond-kun didn't fuckin' want 'em either.

Seven weeks of murder castle and we're arguing about the eating habits of magic fire I cannot believe]
Although... um... Majima... I'm pretty sure trying to just get rid of all of these counts as vandalism, you know?
[PLEASE STOP TRYING TO GET YOURSELF KILLED WHAT DID HE JUST TELL YOU]

[ he tosses one of the swords on the ground and holds out another for the fire-- ]
What about this one, Fire-chan? You're way brighter than this guy. I bet ya could eat him quick.
[ back to elliot tho ]
'side I tried ta torch the tree this mornin' an' it did jack shit. Figure they think I'm just gonna have a temper-tantrum an' move on from it. But they're wrong.
no subject
[damn dude]
...y'know... maybe it's the same thing now, then? You couldn't do anything to the tree, and now Fire-chan's not working like it normally does. Trying to stop us from breaking the stupid rules or something? I dunno.
Although, if the Sage thinks any of us are about to just move on and go along with whatever he wants, he has another thing coming.
no subject
[ he shrugs. it's w/e ]
He made a lot of the shit in the armory.
[ so basically he just wants to break the sage's things ]
no subject
[SIGH.]
Wait, really? Ugh... that just makes that entire place worse. [A pause, and when he speaks up again, it's softer.] ...Tiki hated it, too. The armory. She was so upset when that place opened up...
no subject
[ but then elliot says that thing and majima just
crumples
of course tiki hated the armory. of course he killed misora there. of course he's let tiki down again ]
no subject
[...aaaand then Majima falls apart and Elliot panics, although only about half of it shows externally.]
I- um- Majima, I didn't mean... [To make him more upset? To imply anything? He doesn't know what to say.]

Are you sure...? It's... I really didn't mean anything by it. I promise. I was just thinking out loud, and it was stupid, and... I'm sorry.

no subject
...Yeah. I know that. [It's never far from his mind. The blanket nest is nice, but the emptiness where Misora should be is overwhelming.] But... it's like I told you.
There's not really any point in pointing fingers at anyone anymore. Not at you, not at Zero. We're all we've got left against the Sage - we need to work together.
The last thing I wanna do is make you feel like you're not a part of that.
