week 8
Week 8
Sunday - Thursday
Whatever hopes you had going into the final trial have been dashed—after the execution, most of you were left with that unfortunate revelation, those bitter betrayals, and a lingering sense of regret over your failures. Even now, some of you may find it difficult to feel joy over the fact that everything is almost at an end. Understandably so, and even if things had been different, there's nothing that would erase your knowledge of the Emperor's ominous warning; a warning you either failed to heed or simply didn't know how to prevent.
In order to get through this new week, you will all need to pull yourselves together and work as a team. Some of you have already begun the process of trying to piece everything together. It's a start, but there's still much for you to discuss. After all, it wouldn't do to just suddenly discard all that information given to you, would it?
This week there aren't any new areas for you to explore. The only change in scenary comes from the sakura tree, and it's one that's hard to miss. The tree stands tall, branches full and lively, and the entire area around it seems that much more vibrant for it. The tree is in full bloom, a clear sign that your time in this castle has come to an end.
Anyone who tries to come too close to the tree will find themselves blocked by a white barrier.

[ also like. she was around when most of the swordhell swords were made, so some of it's just granny here reaching into her memory bank. "oh right i was at the sonozaki house when urashima got famous". ]
But I will help as much as I can. What do you need?

Ah! I'm just curious, ya know? After everythin' we've seen lately, figure it'll be good ta go back to focusin' on real shit like weapons and fights. 's how my brother would take care of me, but ain't nobody here but Zero can fight me. So I'm thinkin' the next best thing is talkin' about that shit, ya know? And the samurai who had 'em? Maybe that'll stop makin' me so angry, then I can pull out of this shit. I know ya and Elliot-kun an' Rosalind an' everyone don't want me ta be a damper on your gettin' home plans.
[ majima pulls out a piece of paper, tucking his pendant into his jacket for the moment. he writes while he speaks: ]
the swords were his family. he made them,
but they were more than that.
if we need to distract him, that's a good way to do it. he already knows i wanna emotionally fuck him up
but you and narumi-kun'll hit him where it hurts
think of some good swords from the periods of the books in the library

What time periods do you mean, in particular? I'd have to think to remember specific ones.
Is the Munechika blade, specifically, special to him? Or do you think it was just one of many, and the mention of any of them is what upset him?

he lost him during a battle, like he lost the rest of his family. i imagine they were close. but its hard to say how that would vary

Please just let me know whenever you need my assistance.
[ Even she looks a little fired up, now. It's infectious. ]

[ dang im happy for them ]
Maybe we can talk about it later, yeah? Ya were there right? I bet ya have some great stories of good fuckin' battles.

[ a pause, as she sets the pen down ]
I did not often leave Hinamizawa, actually...it is my duty to look after it and all of its inhabitants, so I never strayed far.
But ah, not all of the gods are as stationary as me, so I can tell you what I've heard through them.
