Week 2

Friday's harrowing events are clear in the minds of many—first and foremost, the death of Rika Furude, and of course the reveal and subsequent "sentencing" of Asch the Bloody. It also serves well as a reminder to everyone that the gloves are off, there won't be an easy way out for anyone and it is unlikely that there will be an option to 'wait it out' in the hopes of not participating in this 'game'. Or, as The Sage and The Teishu put it:

The Challenge.

Despite how you felt about the trial, it's likely that some rest would be welcome after all that transpired. Fortunately, some of your fellow warriors have taken it upon themselves to provide a reprieve of sorts, if you'd rather not be alone.

As if the events of the trial are supposed to be nothing but routine, dawns comes once more Sunday morning, punctuated with the sound of the rooster crowing obnoxiously. Any light sleepers hoping for their rest to not be disturbed may find themselves disappointed. Though, if anyone should wish, they may feel free to try to fall back asleep.

But, maybe that time can be better spent wandering. It seems that some places may have mysteriously unveiled themselves. It might do well to check them out. Or not. How anyone chooses to spend their time is ultimately up to them.

He chuckles. It definitely feels like the Teishu shouldn't be so open with them but he sure as hell won't complain. ]

So Sage-chan's the one who's comin' up with these? Who knew the little guy was a sadist.

[ Tilts his head, his earrings jingle. ]

I think "coming up with" isn't really correct either. But that's all I can say on the matter. [ But he doesn't seem like he regrets his choice of words, so as you do. ]

You guys haveta appease that thing or somethin'?

Yeah, ya gotta feed it people or was it just some kinda special torture fer Asch-kun?

[ Because between the monsters and the being up in the sky, it's all pretty weird. ]

Unfortunately, that's a matter better discussed with him. [ And from his tone it really does sound like "can't explain" then "won't".]

...but I would wait a bit to contact him given what just occurred.

It ain't a big deal.

I don't dislike punishing those who have sinned. The method is important however—civility is what sets apart animals from individuals.

Ya don't get to the top by always makin' nice an' lettin' shit slide. Sometimes it takes a heavy hand, 's just how it is.

Indeed, sacrifice for the greater good is sometimes necessary. My former mentor never quite saw things that way.

Eh? I thought it's just been you an' the Sage for forever?

I am, though in relative age I'm only slightly older than him.

It's weird havin' a boss that's younger than ya, sometimes! Daigo-chan is a good kid, but he's kidna naive.
