Week 4
Week 4
Sunday - Thursday
You've lost four in the past week—Machias, Vanitas, Natalia and Edna. Just in time for the fourth week to roll around, for those of you who are superstitious. But it really isn't like you could forget that death is a common occurrence in this castle, whether you believe in legends or not. Some of you might find solace in the chance to recuperate and move on, if you're still up for companionship with your fellow warriors.
Either way, dawn is soon upon the castle and like it or not, you will all have to face whatever comes this week.
Like before the pattern repeats itself, with new areas revealed for you to explore. It may be that something worth discovering lies in wait to be found, or you can simple enjoy the new additions for what they are. Distractions are most likely welcome, regardless of your feelings of the past week.

[That's meant fondly, not nastily.]
It's far easier to make friends when you've a social person to do it for you.
[SHE WOULD KNOW.]

Surprisingly, I'm not very popular at school, either. The newspaper club isn't one of the flashier ones, you see.
[That's definitely the reason and it's definitely nOT BECAUSE YOU BLACKMAIL EVERYONE INTO GIVING YOU DEETS ON SCOOPS, HIYONO.]

I-it's high quality writing!

Given you haven't published anything about me, I'll grant you that.

My, is there romance blossoming for you as well, Madame Lutece?
[Hiyono this is why no one likes you.]

Not even with Nishitani-san or Majima-san?

Though she does flash a quick smile at that question.]
No, not with either of them, though not for a lack of trying on Nishitani-san's part-- and if you put that in your paper, I'll be very cross.

[She Tried.]
But you do get along with them, don't you?

[And that's . . . that's noteworthy, for all she says it as casually as she can. Rosalind Lutece trusts almost no one, but after four weeks sharing a room with those two (and Tiki), she trusts them very much.
Her smile fades, and for a moment Rosalind looks distracted, but then:]
In any case: yes.

I never would have thought of myself as being on speaking terms with the yakuza, a dragon, and angelic beings... To say nothing of someone who's both dead and alive at the same time.

Odd, isn't it? It's easy for me to look at events and understand why they occurred, but things like friendships or intimacies . . . they continue to surprise me.
Though I can't say as I'm particularly pleased to be part of this experiment regardless.

[Yaaaay murdercastle, ruining everything.]
...But in a way, I'm glad that if I had to be in a situation like this, it's with the people here. Is that strange?

[She reviews that, then adds:]
. . . save perhaps the Joker.
no subject
He's the one person I get the least of anyone here!

[M...ostly because that's kind of. Pertinent. In a place like this.]

[Well, really, either read into this is dark enough.]

She still doesn't condone killing but even she has to accept Things Happen.]
More and more people are losing patience with the trials, it seems.
