Week 4
Week 4
Sunday - Thursday
You've lost four in the past week—Machias, Vanitas, Natalia and Edna. Just in time for the fourth week to roll around, for those of you who are superstitious. But it really isn't like you could forget that death is a common occurrence in this castle, whether you believe in legends or not. Some of you might find solace in the chance to recuperate and move on, if you're still up for companionship with your fellow warriors.
Either way, dawn is soon upon the castle and like it or not, you will all have to face whatever comes this week.
Like before the pattern repeats itself, with new areas revealed for you to explore. It may be that something worth discovering lies in wait to be found, or you can simple enjoy the new additions for what they are. Distractions are most likely welcome, regardless of your feelings of the past week.

[A moment, and then, wryly:]
Or I could give you chess lessons, I suppose.

[He sounds a little uncertain, from the questioning lilt of his voice.]
Honestly, I'm not familiar with Alchemy or what it's capable of.
[Help him out a little here, Rosalind.]

It depends on what you're interested in. Explosions? Fire? I could make you a light that would burn for hours; I could make you an acid that would damage anyone here. I could give you general lessons on physics, and show you how chemicals react in what ways and why.
And so on.

[Point blank. No, Rosalind, don't give teenagers new and exciting ways to murder people. He is not interested in murdering someone gruesomely no matter how much their hosts wanted them to.]

Chemicals....]
But that does give me an idea-- Do you think you could make some chemicals to help us solve any future murders?
no subject
That's a bit of a broad order. I could make something that would show up under a blacklight, but we don't have one of those. I could see if I could do something about fingerprints, that might help . . .

[Unfortunately, he's jaded enough to know it's unlikely they'll avoid having another trial.]
If you can do that I'll even make you a whole outfit, if you want.
no subject
[But that's not a refusal. Rosalind nods faintly, thinking about it, and then glances up again, her gaze firm.]
And I'd appreciate an assistant.

[He nods, crossing his arms and looking pleased.]
If we can manage this, it will be a major boon in the future. Of course I'll help however I can.

[And maybe catch a nap-- he didn't want to be handling chemicals as tired as he was, unfortunately.]

[She nods. And whenever he comes up, Rosalind is elbow deep in chemicals in the lab, goggles and an apron covering her usual clothes, frowning in concentration.]
no subject
Sorry I took so long. Still need a hand?
no subject
[She nods towards a few bottles.]
Go sit. I'm going to have you measure out certain chemicals, all right?
I thought I responded to this....
[Since... you know, chemicals.]
