Sunday - Thursday

You've lost four in the past week—Machias, Vanitas, Natalia and Edna. Just in time for the fourth week to roll around, for those of you who are superstitious. But it really isn't like you could forget that death is a common occurrence in this castle, whether you believe in legends or not. Some of you might find solace in the chance to recuperate and move on, if you're still up for companionship with your fellow warriors.

Either way, dawn is soon upon the castle and like it or not, you will all have to face whatever comes this week.

Like before the pattern repeats itself, with new areas revealed for you to explore. It may be that something worth discovering lies in wait to be found, or you can simple enjoy the new additions for what they are. Distractions are most likely welcome, regardless of your feelings of the past week.

There are a lot of people around here that can cook. I'm sure if you asked nicely, they'd be happy to double up on whatever they're making.

[Also, like. Why doesn't he ask Majima? Majima helps at breakfast...]

Yeah, ain't gotta cook when ya got money, kid!

[ He laughs. I mean... he was probably the kid stealing other kids' lunches at school. So that's no surprise. ]

I mean, yeah, Majima cooks fer me here, but it ain't like we're always on the same schedule. [ Since they sleep... so rarely. ] Plus ya seen how sharin' food's been goin' for folks, right?

Haha... I guess that's true.

[Except he... doesn't have money... so he has to cook.]

...ngh. [Nishitani has a point, loathe as he is to admit it.] ...Still, maybe you could offer to help out? Learn how to cook a little? Then you could double-check that the food was okay, since you'd be there during the preparation, and pick up some new skills.

[ Details... You don't need money when you have friends? Maybe? ]

I know how ta make fried rice, that's about as fancy as it fuckin' gets. [ He shrugs. he's a spoiled brat. ] Dunno if I'd trust me in the kitchen, ya know? Might not kill ya, but I ain't exactly got an eye fer flavors.

Well, that's why I'm saying you could help out. If someone else was giving you pointers, maybe you could pick up a thing or two. Gain an eye you never knew you had!

[A beat.]

...Whiiiich sounds pretty awkward, now that I've said it. But you know what I mean, right?

[ Nishitani chuckles. He can tell you're trying, Elliot. ]

I get what yer sayin', small fry. I'll see if Majima wants my help next time he makes us somethin', howssat?

Sounds like a plan to me. [He grins, then pushes himself up from his spot.]

Gimme a minute on your food, then, okay?

Sure thing, kid! After all these fuckin' long-ass trials, my patience's gotten real damn good!

[ Seriously though, food is worth it. ]

[Well, then, he's off!

It takes a decent amount of time for him to futz around in the kitchen - maybe asking Ayumu for advice every now and again, because hey, the Japanese kid is probably going to know more about this sort of thing than the Erebonian kid - but eventually, he returns with a plate for Nishitani.

Omurice! It's edible!]

[ Aww... that's cute, Elliot. Nishitani isn't overly mean to kids, he'll grin and try the food. Actually, it's a lot better than he expected, hope you don't mind him scarfing down almost half of it before he gets a word of praise out. He's easy to please, honestly. ]

[Nishitani knows many things! Most of them are probably just things Elliot doesn't want to think about.]

You think so? Heh, I don't know about me, but Ayumu, definitely. He's a real genius when it comes to this.

[Meanwhile, in Elliot's canon, it is actually possible to completely break the in-game economy using him to cook endless omelettes...]

[ Yep, real. Nishitani continues eating his omelet, but he isn't gonna correct Elliot, either. ]

Yeah, he's somethin' else ain't he? Even made the fuckin' sauce from scratch.

I'll go ahead and say I'm decent, but if I could cook like he does, I think I'd be set for life.

Ehe... that's kind of a fun thought, isn't it? You decked out in a chef's uniform. [He can't help but grin.] Ah, well. We all have our callings, right?

[of course, it's kind of a shame Nishitani's is murder, but...]
