Week 4
Week 4
Sunday - Thursday
You've lost four in the past week—Machias, Vanitas, Natalia and Edna. Just in time for the fourth week to roll around, for those of you who are superstitious. But it really isn't like you could forget that death is a common occurrence in this castle, whether you believe in legends or not. Some of you might find solace in the chance to recuperate and move on, if you're still up for companionship with your fellow warriors.
Either way, dawn is soon upon the castle and like it or not, you will all have to face whatever comes this week.
Like before the pattern repeats itself, with new areas revealed for you to explore. It may be that something worth discovering lies in wait to be found, or you can simple enjoy the new additions for what they are. Distractions are most likely welcome, regardless of your feelings of the past week.

[Lutece Field may sound like some kind of farm to those who don't know what it's about, but that's not the point. Kizakura moves a pawn forward on the right side of the board, finishing his setup]
Where I come from we're nowhere close to that level of technology. We're already quite advanced, but there's still a lot of innovation and work to be done.

[All right. Now it's time to advance: Rosalind sets her pawn forward, intent on whittling down his more important pieces.]
no subject
[Which is pretty damn advanced, all things considered. Since Kizakura brought out the queen so early, all he can try to do is block the way towards that piece]
So we're at whatever level allows that.

Does it work?

[As long as you don't die while in it everything would be just fine]

The results are yet to be seen.

[Kizakura kept moving his pieces and getting himself in more and more danger each time. It's not long before an opening towards his king is glaringly obvious, yet he sees no way to cover it up]
What a mess we got into right before coming here, that's what we were doing before arriving here: we were in a meeting to decide if that "traitor" deserved to be killed.

Sounds rather a familiar scenario.
[There's an obvious move to be made towards his king, and far be it for her not to take it.]
Check.

[Losing his cool a bit, Kizakura scans the board, looking for a way to counter. Already lost both rooks, one of the knights is on the other side of the board but too far from the black king...all he can do is sacrifice his queen by blocking the chek with it, he can't do anything else]
I didn't expect to be so carefully cornered. That was almost embarrassing.

The conversation too distracting?
