Week 4

Week 4
Sunday - Thursday

You've lost four in the past week—Machias, Vanitas, Natalia and Edna. Just in time for the fourth week to roll around, for those of you who are superstitious. But it really isn't like you could forget that death is a common occurrence in this castle, whether you believe in legends or not. Some of you might find solace in the chance to recuperate and move on, if you're still up for companionship with your fellow warriors.

Either way, dawn is soon upon the castle and like it or not, you will all have to face whatever comes this week.

Like before the pattern repeats itself, with new areas revealed for you to explore. It may be that something worth discovering lies in wait to be found, or you can simple enjoy the new additions for what they are. Distractions are most likely welcome, regardless of your feelings of the past week.

SURVIVING WARRIORS: 21

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

(OOC: Welcome to Week 4 of Ukimiya! Feel free to comment to the weekly top levels and thread as you like, and redeem coins at the wishing pool.

You can contact the sage with your pendants here, and the teishu here.)

We were both in the game. Before I arrived here she was investigating, me and another two were following her. My, what a day that was. I had to deactivate dozens of lethal traps so she could investigate.

Lethal traps?

[He'd mentioned there being a traitor trying to kill them, but this seems like extra overkill.]

Yup. The kind you step on and a spear comes out of the wall to kill you. What an overkill, eh?
pseudoregelia: (with more room to fly)

I... sincerely didn't think anyone would build such a thing in real life.

[Why???]

I didn't realize you were skilled at trap-disarming, Kizakura-sensei.

I might not look it...but I'm still a member of the Future Foundation, you know. We the higher-ups had to learn those skills so we could survive in our world.

[Yet he has pretty much no fighting skills. Oh well]

Your world sounds more and more terrifying the longer I listen...

[She gives a soft sigh.]

Making traps like that sounds so... excessive.

It is terrifying, but don't worry about that. We're working to fix that.

[If Kizakura survives he's planning to return -- after the whole corruption thing is over here, of course]

Yes, I had thought that too. I don't understand yet why anyone would do that. It must be because despite everything I don't have the mind of a killer.

[...]

I'd do anything to protect Kyoko-chan except killing. I don't have it in me to kill an innocent person, to be honest. Or even a guilty one.

pseudoregelia: (when you're not here?)

[personal profile] pseudoregelia 2017-08-24 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
[That gets her to fall silent, if only for a moment.]

...Narumi-san and I...

Everything we did in our world was to try to prevent killing. No, more than that--

If we return home after killing... It would destroy everything we've worked towards.

[Well that makes three people that won't kill this week. Good! To try to move the conversation to less depressing grounds, Kizakura forces a smile]

Okay, enough about that. Why don't you tell me about your home? About what you and Narumi-san do that doesn't involve people dying.
pseudoregelia: (You know it's okay to kiss)

[personal profile] pseudoregelia 2017-08-24 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[...Okay, she can't help but smile at that, but not quite for the reasons one might expect.]

Kizakura-sensei, that's a little bit difficult... After all, at home, Narumi-san and I were following a trail of murder cases to find the culprit and determine their motivations.

That's all your life is? You don't have any other hobbies, or time you don't spend tracking down murderers?

[That's kind of a depressing life]
pseudoregelia: (How come you)

[personal profile] pseudoregelia 2017-08-24 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Kizakura-sensei, we've lost two students and a teacher to the murders.

It isn't very easy to avoid even in ordinary life.

There's something depressing about you or Narumi-san not being able to have an ordinary life.
pseudoregelia: (it's so lonely.)

[personal profile] pseudoregelia 2017-08-28 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Some things can't be helped. Plus, since we're on the ground, it's easier for us to look into these things than the police.

[Because... three murders isn't worth closing school over or anything.]

But we're also very careful. Between my information and Narumi-san's sleuthing skills, we've managed pretty well so far!

[Maybe you two will survive this game. It'd be a shame if either of you died after surviving for that long in your world]

What came first? Your passion for journalism or you having to gather information?

[Did you start making tabloids and stuff because you liked gathering information for Narumi or what?]
pseudoregelia: (I'm still alive)

[personal profile] pseudoregelia 2017-08-28 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
[AN ATTEMPT IS CERTAINLY BEING MADE.]

Oh, I was already part of the newspaper club long before I met Narumi-san. [Waving her hand.] The reason I met him was because he was framed for one of the murders. At the time it hadn't been solved yet, and he wasn't arrested since there wasn't very much evidence, so I thought it would be good to get an interview with the murderer.

[""Careful,"" she had said.]
