Week 4

Sunday - Thursday

You've lost four in the past week—Machias, Vanitas, Natalia and Edna. Just in time for the fourth week to roll around, for those of you who are superstitious. But it really isn't like you could forget that death is a common occurrence in this castle, whether you believe in legends or not. Some of you might find solace in the chance to recuperate and move on, if you're still up for companionship with your fellow warriors.

Either way, dawn is soon upon the castle and like it or not, you will all have to face whatever comes this week.

Like before the pattern repeats itself, with new areas revealed for you to explore. It may be that something worth discovering lies in wait to be found, or you can simple enjoy the new additions for what they are. Distractions are most likely welcome, regardless of your feelings of the past week.

Then I won't! But I'm not taking back what I said, so you're stuck with the compliment. [ 'cause he's been hanging out with Miyamura too much, he winks at Elliot. This is what passes for encouraging in his eyes now. ]

Anyway, how many songs can you play from memory?

[He flushes a little deeper, but at least this isn't full-on flail mode.]

Um... I've honestly never stopped to count. A bunch, I know that much? Sorry, I know that's not really helpful.

It's helpful enough. [ And impressive. He can't imagine memorizing sheet music, even if in concept it isn't much different than memorizing his textbooks. ]

Hm. Do you know any songs someone could dance to? [ ... ] Something romantic.

[Elliot considers for a moment, then starts up again. It's something people back at his home might have danced to at a more upscale event - waltz-like, warm and jovial.]

[ Tsk, tsk. Elliot was being modest about his internal musical database for no reason! ]

Good to know we can have a dance if we want to. And I bet we can figure out a way for you to join in, too.

Ahaha... thanks, but no thanks. I don't really know how to dance.

Besides, don't you need a partner for that? I know we've got a couple budding couples here, but I'm not a part of that.

No problem! I don't know how to dance either. [ He's prideful over the strangest things. ] And having a partner isn't a problem either. Just ask the cutest person here to dance!

I still think I'll pass. I can't imagine just... going up and asking someone like that. Or who I'd even ask, for that matter.

[ He'll let the dancing point itself go because, eh, if Elliot doesn't wanna he doesn't wanna. The other one, though. ]

"The cutest person here." Unless you don't find anyone here attractive. That might make it harder.

I mean... I do, [embarrassing as that is to admit,] but...

[A pause, like he's considering it.]

Pre~tty sure he wouldn't say yes anyway. [sure did drop a "he" without thinking]

[ Kurosaki smiles at that! Elliot's in good company here, 'cause Kurosaki would've said "he" too. ]

Rejection isn't the worst thing that can happen here, so why worry about it? [ A beat. ] Is he older than you or the same age?

[ Assuming it's someone here so he's looking at the plaques. ]

About the same age, I think, but I don't have everyone's memorized.

[He smiles back, however awkwardly. His cheeks are going so pink, ugh. It was bad enough when Hiyono was coming after him about the pillow...!]

Don't worry, I don't either. ... and if you want to hear a secret, I used to carry a notebook around with all the information from the plaques.

[ Kinda dumb thing to do, now that he thinks about it. Moving on and pointing at Miyamura, Mako, Mahiro, and Ayumu. He thinks those are the only ones around their age, so probably one of them. ] So, which one of them is it?

You know, at the beginning of this, I can't even say that woulda been the worst idea...

[Oh, he's asking for specifics. He blushes deeper and sighs.]

Not gonna include yourself? [Is that a joke? It's not clear. If it's not, it's not like he's about to just up and tell Kurosaki.] But, if you insist...

[He goes over and taps Ayumu's, with another sigh.]

Reminds me of someone from back home. That's all.

You're not my type, and I don't think I'm yours either. [ Bluntly. In another life, he would have asked Elliot out but it wouldn't have been for Love.

Hm, hm. He walks up to the portrait and looks at it. ] Yup, I knew it! Not your type. [ He's proud of his deduction! ] Which parts of him do you like?

[Harsh, Kurosaki! Still...]

It's a couple of things. But if we're just talking physically, I dunno. He's easy on the eyes, and the way he styles himself really reminds me of my friend from back home...

[I swear to god since Elliot got that dakimakura, half of my tags have just been "hello were you aware that Elliot is gay for Rean?" I'm so sorry about this.]

Styles himself... [ Ah, his fashion! So Elliot is into stylish, flashy people! Makes sense, Ayumu has the biggest wardrobe as far as he knows. Nod, nod. ] In that case, I can see the appeal. Miyamura-kun's style is better, of course, but I can still see why you'd like Narumi.

Especially if he reminds you of your crush.

[ It's okay, Kurosaki isn't... really... better... If he doesn't bring up Miyamura at least once a thread he's probably thinking about him. ]

[Elliot is into spiky haired protagonists that like jackets, apparently... and who will never notice his intense gay. Rest in fucking pieces, Elliot, except not really because your fate is to be the dead friends dinosaur.]

Haha. Well, we each have our own tastes, yeah?

How are things with Miyamura, by the way? [He's just hoping Kurosaki has a better love life than him tbh]
