Week 4
Week 4
Sunday - Thursday
You've lost four in the past week—Machias, Vanitas, Natalia and Edna. Just in time for the fourth week to roll around, for those of you who are superstitious. But it really isn't like you could forget that death is a common occurrence in this castle, whether you believe in legends or not. Some of you might find solace in the chance to recuperate and move on, if you're still up for companionship with your fellow warriors.
Either way, dawn is soon upon the castle and like it or not, you will all have to face whatever comes this week.
Like before the pattern repeats itself, with new areas revealed for you to explore. It may be that something worth discovering lies in wait to be found, or you can simple enjoy the new additions for what they are. Distractions are most likely welcome, regardless of your feelings of the past week.

From what was able to be communicated, the entity we spoke to is definitely a water spirit of some kind. I asked if they were the god of the pond, but they didn't seem sure of that.

[Demons, spirits, gods? but talking sinks? That's a bridge too far]
But what is the word you couldn't hear? It sounds like it starts with an E, essence?

In which case, the murders are way more dangerous than they already were. I don't like the idea of a tree living off the essence of the people who died.

[...but he's still wants to think what to do with the tree. There's something rather creepy about it being fed with dead people essence]

[ Y'all know Sage-chan is a dirty cheater, right? ]

Ever since we got here, they've been going on about this challenge and how it's supposed to prove the worthy warriors, haven't they? But there's no guarantee that we'll be left with only nine people. And even then, it could be difficult for them to coerce the people left behind. Those who survive aren't even necessarily going to be those who have killed - in fact, based on what we've seen so far, they may just be those who are fortunate enough not to be murdered first.
But... are we sure that we need nine people remaining, or twenty-one dead?
no subject
The odds of ending up with exactly nine people is small.

[Then the Sage can't fail unless no more deaths happen]

To die is cruel enough, but to be used as fuel...

Do you think it's connected to the wishing pool? It certainly seemed to have a consciousness of itself, to pull Machias-san and Vanitas-san in...
[It also, uh. Seemed especially disparaging of them in particular.]

[ did. did he really think the sink was the magic one when there's a spirit pond that spits out items at them all. HANYUU IS NOT THE TYPE TO JUDGE, BUT.... ]

So wait, if Pond-kun is talkin' ta the dead, why'd he kill those two? So they wouldn't get turned inta fertilizer fer the tree?
no subject
...then there'd have to be two more deaths among us.
[SO yeah, let's hope that's not why]
no subject
Maybe he don't need 21 deaths exactly. I mean, he seems like the kinda guy who'd have a contingency plan.
Maybe Pond-kun's like Teishu-kun and he's workin' fer Sage-chan, he just doesn't like the way Sage-chan is runnin' shit.
