Week 4

Sunday - Thursday

You've lost four in the past week—Machias, Vanitas, Natalia and Edna. Just in time for the fourth week to roll around, for those of you who are superstitious. But it really isn't like you could forget that death is a common occurrence in this castle, whether you believe in legends or not. Some of you might find solace in the chance to recuperate and move on, if you're still up for companionship with your fellow warriors.

Either way, dawn is soon upon the castle and like it or not, you will all have to face whatever comes this week.

Like before the pattern repeats itself, with new areas revealed for you to explore. It may be that something worth discovering lies in wait to be found, or you can simple enjoy the new additions for what they are. Distractions are most likely welcome, regardless of your feelings of the past week.

You want me to start...? [ Okay, uh, hm. He leans to try and look at the numbers and letters on the side before staring at the ones in front of him. ]

[She's gonna destroy him, but at least this is a decent way to pass an hour.]

More pawns...? [ He looks at her uncertainly. He sure is basically just moving the same pieces as her, huh. ] Pawn to E4!

[She raises an eyebrow.]

[Let's see if this pattern follows.]

[ ... he stops and gives the board a long glance. Then he glances to Rosalind.

Very, very slowly: ] Pawn to A4.

Think about your moves. I'm not in any hurry.

[ He glances to the side. ] I am, at least a little.

[ Not enough though, he supposes. He takes some more time to stare at the board. ] Bishop to H6. ... this is what you wanted, right?

[Perhaps to his surprise, Rosalind laughs. He'd claimed her knight, and good for him.]

It is. Pawn to H6.

[And there goes his bishop.]

[ Pointing!! ] See!! That's why I didn't want to do that!

[ But he's apparently not going to stop??? Some lessons never get learned. ] Bishop to A6!
