Week 4
Week 4
Sunday - Thursday
You've lost four in the past week—Machias, Vanitas, Natalia and Edna. Just in time for the fourth week to roll around, for those of you who are superstitious. But it really isn't like you could forget that death is a common occurrence in this castle, whether you believe in legends or not. Some of you might find solace in the chance to recuperate and move on, if you're still up for companionship with your fellow warriors.
Either way, dawn is soon upon the castle and like it or not, you will all have to face whatever comes this week.
Like before the pattern repeats itself, with new areas revealed for you to explore. It may be that something worth discovering lies in wait to be found, or you can simple enjoy the new additions for what they are. Distractions are most likely welcome, regardless of your feelings of the past week.

What would you do, if you were me?

I'd do everything in my power not to die. That's the most obvious step at least.
[As she contemplates, she brushes the coat in her lap with her fingers.]
Then you wait, I suppose. I'm not hoping that anyone dies this week... but if they did, I guess a part of me would be relieved. It'd be a pretty disgusting part of me though.

It's probably more justified in your case. I at least know that Raye could handle himself alright here. He's got more experience than me and he'd probably look after everyone here better than I can. He doesn't need my protection at all.
[A sigh.]
But I guess that's just what caring about people really comes down to, huh. Not wanting them to suffer through anything if they don't have to.

Was Raye-san your partner in the FBI? [ he tilts his head. ] Either way I think you're selling yourself short. You ask the right questions when it counts. Not your fault the Sage's mum on a lot of things.
But that's also the problem with making friends here. [ he learned the hard way with Edna. ] Maybe it's just better not to.

[She shakes her head.]
If you didn't have friends here though, this place would feel even more rotten than it already does, don't you think? Sure, it hurts less when someone dies, but if you're here anyway... you might as well make the best of it and cherish what good you can make out of it.

Though even if we live past all this, wouldn't it be harder to part with everyone when the time comes?
