Week 4

Sunday - Thursday

You've lost four in the past week—Machias, Vanitas, Natalia and Edna. Just in time for the fourth week to roll around, for those of you who are superstitious. But it really isn't like you could forget that death is a common occurrence in this castle, whether you believe in legends or not. Some of you might find solace in the chance to recuperate and move on, if you're still up for companionship with your fellow warriors.

Either way, dawn is soon upon the castle and like it or not, you will all have to face whatever comes this week.

Like before the pattern repeats itself, with new areas revealed for you to explore. It may be that something worth discovering lies in wait to be found, or you can simple enjoy the new additions for what they are. Distractions are most likely welcome, regardless of your feelings of the past week.

Oohhhh... Is it okay if I try one? [She hums, thoughtful.] You can have more beans if you want, too.

[devilsphysician]

Of course - I'm sure he wouldn't mind, and if he gets mad when I return, I'll just I ate them all.

[He smiles a bit impishly as he tries another bean, setting the box on the counter. He chews, before making a confused face]

It tastes like... almost like the air after a storm?

[presomnia]

[Tiki giggles, and sets her bag of beans next to the box once Georik's taken another.]

I'll just take one, and you can bring the rest back home to your friend, promise. [It's taking her a moment, once she takes a caramel, though, to deal with the wrapper.] You don't eat this part, do you? [She's learning...... Once she actually gets the caramel in her mouth, though, her face scrunches up, though not in disgust.]

It's sticky. [give her a moment or two to CHEW OBNOXIOUSLY, it's all stuck to her teeth, she's never had caramel before, she's struggling]

It's to keep them from sticking to things.

[He stifles a laugh as she struggles to chew]

Just take it slow, and give it a moment or two to soften.

[presomnia]

[SQUINT...... CHEW CHEW CHEW, and then she actually follows the given instruction and pauses to let the caramel soften. The chewing efforts that follow are significantly less of an ordeal.]

It's really sweet! [likes: sweets; she's pleased]

It is, I can only have a couple at a time, but Germant can eat an entire confectionery if you don't stop him.

I preferred candied nuts myself.

[presomnia]

I've had those before! [She always gets so excited when she actually recognizes food here.] I like when they cook fruits that way, too.

[...Give her a second, she's still got to chew some caramel off of her teeth???]

I just really like sweets, though.

[devilsphysician]

Well, I'll certainly know who to come to if the pond spits out any more candy. After making sure they're okay to eat.

[His tone is lightly teasing, though his expression grows a bit more serious]

How have you been holding up?

Aahh, really? Thank you, Ge-Ge!

["riky" was an option but "ge-ge" is stupider and tiki has never come up with a nickname that isn't stupid in her life

but she tilts her head just so at what he says next, not so much sincerely serious as she is just mildly less sunshiney.]

I don't know. [Her answer is matter-of-fact: there's no standard of comparison for how she feels and what the grief does to her here, so she doesn't know how to qualify it in words.] I have fun with my friends here, but it's still scary.

[devilsphysician]

Ge-Ge...?

[He repeats, a bit dumbfounded, before giving a little sigh, leaning forward a bit]

I won't lie, it's pretty scary for me too. I think even Nishitani and Majima are scared under their bluster, but long as we work together, it should be okay.

[presomnia]

I think so... [The yakuzas sure talk big, about death and strength and keeping her safe, but you don't spend this much time toddling around alongside someone without figuring out fear in a place like this. Of course Georik would be scared, too, but it seems to startle her a little to hear him admit it.]

Together... [She hums, then smiles wide.] Yeah..! Yeah, then it's okay!

[actually wait back to business:] —Oh, is it not okay if I call you Ge-Ge..? [she sounds disappointed...]

Ah... no, just no one has really given me a nickname before.
