week 7

Week 7
Sunday - Thursday

With the loss of two more warriors, the castle has grown even quieter still. Such a thing was always bound to become a consequence of your stay here, though the actual reality of it may be more unpleasant. There's been little in the way of parties, which isn't too much of a surprise given your dwindling numbers, but it's still better than nothing, correct?

As with every other week, new locations have been unveiled for you all to either explore or use to casually gather within. If you've been keeping an eye on the cherry blossoms, you'll note that they look just about ready to bloom. The important thing is, of course, that they haven't. But it's only a matter of time, now.

SURVIVING WARRIORS: 12

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

(OOC: Welcome to Week 7 of Ukimiya! Feel free to comment to the weekly top levels and thread as you like, and redeem coins at the wishing pool.

You can contact the sage with your pendants here, and the teishu here.)

Guess so.

[ where is their honor this is not the yakuza way ]

I dunno, I think Emperor is L, though.

[Just looking at his own note again... yeah.]

Makes sense. She's calling him Mr. Fish here too.

[Still. There's something that sort of rings strange about all of this to him.]

Those guys were pulled over from other worlds just like we were, weren't they?

I think so. Why?

Magic's not supposed to work here; that's what people've been complaining about since day one. But what the hell would you call that mirror, then? It turns on when you put a pearl near it and you can talk through it. There was also the book from that Skull girl. If she didn't use magic to animate it, what's it supposed to be, some kinda toy?

Unless they didn't have the same restrictions we did, both of those things shouldn't be working.

Maybe they convinced the Sage ta give 'em back their powers. Or maybe he didn't know how ta take them back then.

Now that Mahiro-kun mentioned a spy, do you think Sage-san would give powers back in exchange to spying for them?
maddogs: (i tip the driver 'head of time)

[personal profile] maddogs 2017-09-12 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
I think, considerin' Skull-chan an' L both knew there was a spy - if they'd gotten their powers back for spyin' it wouldn've been pretty damn obvious.

[ unless kizakura means just this round in which case ]

If Mahiro-kun's right, an' the other rounds didn't have restrictions like we did then are ya askin' if he'd do it this time? 'cause fuck if I know why the Sage does anythin'.

In this round? Plausibly, though as long as the spy kept it under wraps, that'd be hard to prove.

But there are a few people here who don't have magical powers to return in the first place [y'know like themselves] so it's more likely tailored to what the individual wants.
"Everyone has a price," remember?

Considering the circumstances, the most obvious thing to grant would be immunity, wouldn't it? We know the Sage grants it to those who get away with murder, so it doesn't seem implausible to me. But as I said, it could be more varied than that.

It makes me wonder how exactly Sage-san is going to protect those who have immunity -- and attacking them would mean the gig is up, too.

[Kizakura shrugs]

If the spy had something offered to them, it must be really significant to them -- cooperating with the mastermind of this game is no minor offense.

Seems pretty risky, don't it? An' we've all been suspects at least once, right? So anyone could've been killed.

I got a good one about that one, Mahiro-kun!

Ya know the spell that lets Sage-chan write up those creepy profiles about us? He got that thanks to Emperor-han. My guess is Emperor-han offered ta give Sage-chan some of his spells and scrolls in exchange fer a little bit'a magic. Just enough that he figured he mighta been able ta kill Sage-chan while he was at it.

I mean, he guessed fuckin' wrong, but at least he had enough magic ta do his whole ghost thing. So he didn't get totally fucked.
