week 7
Week 7
Sunday - Thursday
With the loss of two more warriors, the castle has grown even quieter still. Such a thing was always bound to become a consequence of your stay here, though the actual reality of it may be more unpleasant. There's been little in the way of parties, which isn't too much of a surprise given your dwindling numbers, but it's still better than nothing, correct?
As with every other week, new locations have been unveiled for you all to either explore or use to casually gather within. If you've been keeping an eye on the cherry blossoms, you'll note that they look just about ready to bloom. The important thing is, of course, that they haven't. But it's only a matter of time, now.

You can contact the sage with your pendants here, and the teishu here.)

Private
[Yeah, not telling]
You know you'd get both of our deaths, right? You'll be pinned as the culprit. Well I guess someone has to die every week. I always thought it'd happen to me at some point.
[Kind of appropriate he himself would be the last death, he thinks. The thought doesn't make him happy at all, it's more frustrating. Why now, seriously?
He struggles, trying to get his wrist out of Nishitani's grasp, and looking increasingly paler]
That'd leave a hand completely useless. Why not to go for the entire hand, now that you're at it?
[Not the time to say such stuff, Kizakura, goddamnit]

Ya think I give a shit about dyin', pal? I'm already dead. Only reason I ain't fuckin' done that shit yet is cause Majima's been holdin' me back.
[ He grins. He kind of likes Kizakura's idea, actually. He shifts his hold to Kizakura's palm, squeezing all the tiny bones together. ]
Yer the fuckin' spy. I've killed some of my own damn men fer less than the shit you did. Yer life's worth less than shit ta me or anybody else here. Shit, I'd fuckin' confess ta gettin' rid of ya. Even if it meant gettin' torn ta bits, I'll do it, pal.
[ He, uh, he sure doesn't look like he's joking. But he does take the time to write on the notebook again. ]
Tell me.
no subject
[He's not lying about that, at least. Whatever he got in exchange must be extremely important despite that, because he doesn't budge, even when he's feeling the pain in his hand. He's slouching forward, trying to endure the squeeze]
Gah...sorry, Nishitani-san:
Not telling.
no subject
[ Nishitani squeezes harder, increasing with force just inch by inch. Slowly, he wouldn't want to do Kizakura any favors. ]
Lemme see... He promised ya ya'd get ta see yer girl again? Or he told ya he'd fix somethin' back home? Lemme know if I'm getting warm, pal.
[ He's not even bothering with the pen anymore, he's picked up the knife and has gone back to gesticulating with it. Like he's just having a normal day. Despite it, he brings the edge of the knife to his tongue, licking it and nicking himself on it just to show off how sharp it really is. ]
Ya know, knives like these were made ta disembowel samurai. They're the ones ya commit harakiri with. Seems real fittin' for a guy like me ta have, don't it?
no subject
You're such a stubborn bastard, Nishitani-san!
[You may have gotten warmer, but he's still not budging. Now that's stubornness!]
If you're going to do it, then do it. I'm not changing my mind. Go ahead!
cw implied bad stuff
[ He grins. Surprisingly, his grip doesn't tighten. If Kizakura wants him to hurry up, the he won't. It's not his first rodeo.
He licks the blood off his lips slowly,
dragging the blunt side of the knife over his chin like he's pondering something. ]
So that girl ya saved, who's she to ya? Like a daughter? Or do ya got some creepy fetish for 'er? Sage-chan promise ya he'd get' er ta notice ya?
no subject
[He's taking deep offense to that. Wow, Nishitani, that's nasty! He shakes his head, angry, and tries harder to get his wrist out of Nishitani's grip. At least he's not trying to punch? Maybe because he knows he'd be outmatched in a second -- but he does look like he'd want to punch]
I gave my life for her safety once, and I'll do it as many times as necessary. I'm not talking!
[Yeah, he has started to raise his voice. If he says the deal, well, then the deal may be over. His life doesn't matter ever since he died, it's not like anything that happens to him will change what happens to her]
no subject
That's what I thought, buddy. That "nothin' to lose" crap is bullshit.
[ It's true, if Kizakura fought too hard, Nishitani might feel justified in responding in kind, so keeping it down is definitely the right move here. ]
Actually, least ya got a damn reason that ain't just you bein' an asshole.
[ He shrugs, though his hold doesn't loosen any. Knowing doesn't feel as good as he expected. He'd do the same for Majima, but then he'd also expect much worse than being locked in a room and handcuffed. ]
Still, I got seven week's worth of frustrations just rollin' on up inside me. Maybe I oughta let it out, huh?
[ With a snap, he brings the knife in close, this time hovering over Kizakura's left eye. ]
What'd yer girl say if she knew what you was doin'? If she knew that ya'd struck a deal with the fucker who's behind all this fuckin' shit?

On the other hand, the past 24 hours have been a damn adventure and man is it written all over the Teishu's face. He doesn't look tired or warn like both have you have heard him before, he looks absolutely furious. He also looks like he may have just come from a war zone, but that's neither here nor there. ]
Stop.
I will not permit pointless barbarism in this castle.
no subject
Kizakura says nothing, but he seems to relax a bit. Maybe he's going to be lucky and get out of this just with a very sore and bruised hand!
But better not attract any attention to himself]
no subject
Dying here would be a shitty way to go. Kizakura isn't worth the trouble of facing whatever Teishu would do to him for breaking the rules...
Still, he's pissed and immature and he still whines when he draws the knife away. ]
Aw, I wasn't gonna do it, pal. I just wanted ta teach 'im a lesson. But I guess playtime's over, eh?
[ Nishitani squeezes hard before releasing Kizakura. He turns around to face the Teishu, eyes steeled with anger for all that he's smiling. ]
I don't know that I'd call this shit pointless. I'd call it a punishment. Ain't that the shit y'all do when someone breaks the rules, or betrays people?
no subject
[ Normally he would be here for arguing rules semantics, but apparently he's just done today. His tone is even more cold than it usually is, and though he's never been one for playing, it's clear how serious he is.]
They also gave you the gift of a second life, which I thought you weren't keen on wasting.
no subject
[ He retorts fast enough, but the spark of anger is quickly replaced with frustration. He promised Majima he'd stick around for him. The second life he has isn't really his to be throwing away. ]
Tch. Fine. Twist my arm, why dontcha.
[ Nishitani grumbles and sheaths his knife, tucking it and the notebook back in his pockets. He saunters past the Teishu on his way out. He's almost tempted to give him a patronizing pat on the shoulder, but he honestly isn't suicidal.
Instead he turns his gaze back on Kizakura. ]
We'll see each other around, buddy old pal. Maybe in the meantime ya can think about what I said. And maybe ya'll think twice about pulling this fuckin' shit again.
no subject
[He seems resigned. What Nishitani said...it wasn't the first time he had thought about it. Every week he had thought it, and he always forced himself to ignore those thoughts. It's not a nice reminder she'd disapprove it.
Besides, it's not like he's going to ever see her again, is he? Once Nishitani leaves he sighs and rubs his sore hand, wincing]
Sheesh, messing with yakuzas is never a good idea. Thanks, Teishu-san.
[He doesn't sound excessively grateful, but he really is very grateful for the timely intervention. He's convinced Nishitani would have fulfilled his threats]

Don't forget what I told you, Kizakura.
