With the loss of two more warriors, the castle has grown even quieter still. Such a thing was always bound to become a consequence of your stay here, though the actual reality of it may be more unpleasant. There's been little in the way of parties, which isn't too much of a surprise given your dwindling numbers, but it's still better than nothing, correct?
As with every other week, new locations have been unveiled for you all to either explore or use to casually gather within. If you've been keeping an eye on the cherry blossoms, you'll note that they look just about ready to bloom. The important thing is, of course, that they haven't. But it's only a matter of time, now.

[His reply: "Possibly. The problem is getting that door open. We don't know how to pass the barrier, and I doubt he'll let us through for a social call."]
He actually looked out for me a little, when.... when I wasn't feeling well.
[And he didn't use that against Ayumu. It raised his respect for him, where before he'd heavily questioned Mahiro's judgement.]

[In response: "There may come a time when there's a test of faith. We may have to give the key to the Sage or the Teishu and if we choose correctly, they'll use it to let us go. If such a time comes, Ayumu-kun, do you trust them with that?"]

[When Ayumu had been deliberately trying to make him feel vulnerable before, but details. His reply takes a few moments, this time, and his lips thin as he pulls out another slip of paper to write on: "I trust them only as far as their desires go. Neither care particularly for us or our lives, only their goals. The Sage at least seems to have some genuine feeling for Sen-chan and can relate with others, but there are no limits as to how far he will go for his goals and he might be mad. The Teishu is more sedate and willing to act fairly, but also callous in the way of gods. Neither are reliable allies unless we can provide what they want in exchange."]

[That actually gets her to smile a little. As mixed as her opinions on Mahiro had been and as much as they'd been irritable with each other since that damn submachine gun showed up, part of her is quite saddened by his death.
On the new scrap of paper, she writes: "So that brings us back full circle to finding the Teishu's name. He told me he was the God of life and creation in his own world. That may be a place to start. As for the Sage... I don't know what caused his magic to weaken today, perhaps it was something Mahiro-kun did, perhaps it wasn't. But he may be reaching the limits of his power. Did you notice that it wasn't the Teishu who cleaned up today? It may be a sign that his control over the Teishu is weakening. In which case, he may be becoming desperate for our cooperation."]

[He smiles a little, too-- he could understand that part of Mahiro, just a little.
His reply is quicker than the last: "That's another thing. I asked the Teishu about if he wanted us to find his name... discreetly, of course. He told me No and indicated what we need to find is the Sage's instead, unless he misunderstood my code. I'll be speaking more with the Sage to see what I can find-- I've developed some rapport, I think. Maybe I can find out more."]
Though I will agree he had a short fuse.
