Week 6

Sunday - Thursday

Another week of misfortune has passed by and while the end result is that there won't be any issues to anyone's existence being altered for the worst, it doesn't mean anyone's celebrating. If anything, the stressful machinations of the recent trial would require some of you to have someone champion some sort of recuperation amongst you in an attempt to relieve the strain. Whether or not its entirely successful in doing so is up to each individual. After all, there are some of you who are naturally able to endure more than others.

There's not even much time for that before the dawn of the next week is upon the castle. As it comes, everything seems quiet, which is understandable, considering that five lives were lost in the previous week.

Of course, the next best thing to focus on would be what's been newly revealed within the castle. It'll help most of you get your mind off of the current situation to an extent—distractions have a way of making that possible. Presuming, by chance, you do find yourself taking a peek at the sakura tree, you'll notice that the buds have started to finally open up. Is it time for spring at last? If so, you might find yourself wishing that the season would suddenly find itself on hold.

Magic doesn't exist where I'm from, so I don't really know anything about it in all honesty.

Rubies are stones associated with the sun, fire, and passion, Topaz with the golden hue has meaning with the earth, empathy, and stability, Onyx wards off curses such as the evil eye and it's said to promote wisdom, and self-improvement... Diamonds are too rare to be used in fortune-telling. I haven't heard Lillith mentioning Aquamarines or Malachites.

I have heard malachite has healing qualities.

Possible, I heard they grind up stones and animal horn to make medicines in the far east, so perhaps Malachites are among those ground up.

I believe some people call that 'Stubborness', Hiyono.

Because while it's symptoms are known, it's not well documented yet. But it starts with similar effects to anemia... A decrease in the efficiency of the red blood cells and hemopathic functions.

[So he knows something about it's progression, at least.]

It's possible medication might ease the symptoms, but I have no ability to acquire such a thing in this place.

Chess Room

[Good LORD that is a lot of echoing and resonance. Misora had fully intended on going inside the alchemy lab, but the noise coming from the chess room is difficult to ignore. Harder to ignore when it just stops abruptly after making that hideous noise. She peeks inside the chess room... and whatever she was expecting, it wasn't Tiki shaking a banana.]

Is everything okay, Tiki-chan?

Yeah? Then get a chaperone to wake your ass up whenever you fall asleep. You're pretty useless if you're dead.

Maybe, maybe not. As long as he has 9 of us who've proven ourselves, he doesn't need the rest. And if his threats were real, seeing five people disappear because of his power could also have the possible side effect of cowing people into bending to his will.

[He lowers the crossbow, reaching for another bolt at well. He really didn't like the recoil on these, but other than that they were more convenient than something that would require him to get up close and personal.]

Honestly, I don't know. It was a terrible thing, but who knows what the Teishu would have done to Mako otherwise? Mako said 'Do it'... Maybe he wanted it that way.
