week 6

Week 6
Sunday - Thursday

Another week of misfortune has passed by and while the end result is that there won't be any issues to anyone's existence being altered for the worst, it doesn't mean anyone's celebrating. If anything, the stressful machinations of the recent trial would require some of you to have someone champion some sort of recuperation amongst you in an attempt to relieve the strain. Whether or not its entirely successful in doing so is up to each individual. After all, there are some of you who are naturally able to endure more than others.

There's not even much time for that before the dawn of the next week is upon the castle. As it comes, everything seems quiet, which is understandable, considering that five lives were lost in the previous week.

Of course, the next best thing to focus on would be what's been newly revealed within the castle. It'll help most of you get your mind off of the current situation to an extent—distractions have a way of making that possible. Presuming, by chance, you do find yourself taking a peek at the sakura tree, you'll notice that the buds have started to finally open up. Is it time for spring at last? If so, you might find yourself wishing that the season would suddenly find itself on hold.

Ehehe. ♪

[Elliot's pleased as punch as he strolls in, glancing around before going over and plucking up a guitar.]

Here. Try this. It wouldn't be my first choice of instrument to start someone off with, but beggars can't really be choosers in a place like this, I guess.

[Kizakura takes the guitar]

Alright, alright, a guitar. How do you know which string is what note? Shouldn't it have seven strings instead of six?

aggressively googling this tbh

Going from the sixth string - the thickest one - down to the first: E, A, D, G, B, and E again. [Elliot points out each string as he goes.] I just know 'em offhand, but you could come up with some saying if you wanted to try to remember, I guess?

And some guitars have seven strings, some don't. The seventh string expands the range it can play.

[Seems easy enough to understand]

Got it. Shouldn't be too hard to remember. At least it's not a flute, I heard those are harder to deal with.

Haha, yeah, they can be. 'Course, there's some fun to that, too, but I figured I'd start you off simple.

I didn't see any ukuleles around when I was looking, otherwise I would have nabbed one of those. [Doesn't mean there aren't any, Elliot's player was just too lazy to ask the mods and it didn't seem to fit in with the description.] Those are four strings, so it's even easier to get the hang of.

Anyway...

[And this is the point at which Elliot's player is no longer going to pretend she has any idea what she's talking about. Let's just assume Elliot manages to get Kizakura playing a couple of chords and maybe the good old standby of Hot Cross Buns.]

[Thanks to the power of handwaving, Kizakura isn't doing too badly]

Okay, I think I got the hang of this! Everyone will be amazed old Kizakura managed to learn something like this.

[Not everyone here at the castle, everyone back at his home]

It's never too late to learn something new! [Elliot is beaming right about now.] But I'm glad you're picking it up so quickly!

Ehehe. Guess so!

Maybe it's something to think about doing after I graduate from the Music Academy, huh?

[He smiles, but there's something a bit hollow about it. It's nice to talk like he'll ever see Erebonia again, but he has his doubts.]
