Week 6

Sunday - Thursday

Another week of misfortune has passed by and while the end result is that there won't be any issues to anyone's existence being altered for the worst, it doesn't mean anyone's celebrating. If anything, the stressful machinations of the recent trial would require some of you to have someone champion some sort of recuperation amongst you in an attempt to relieve the strain. Whether or not its entirely successful in doing so is up to each individual. After all, there are some of you who are naturally able to endure more than others.

There's not even much time for that before the dawn of the next week is upon the castle. As it comes, everything seems quiet, which is understandable, considering that five lives were lost in the previous week.

Of course, the next best thing to focus on would be what's been newly revealed within the castle. It'll help most of you get your mind off of the current situation to an extent—distractions have a way of making that possible. Presuming, by chance, you do find yourself taking a peek at the sakura tree, you'll notice that the buds have started to finally open up. Is it time for spring at last? If so, you might find yourself wishing that the season would suddenly find itself on hold.

[He looks up rather sharply when he hears Majima call out. He doesn't look too surprised if his expression's anything to go by, but for a second his posture's a bit stiff and it pretty clear that Mahiro's been caught off guard. Still, he relaxes soon enough and he stops aimlessly going through the notes.]

...Just thinking about fireworks.

[The notebook he has definitely has nothing to do with fireworks though, uh.]

[Well, if Majima's close enough it looks the page he's on has a recipe for something called polydimethylsiloxane alongside a list of properties (viscous, elastic, easily molded). 'Explosive' is definitely not on that list though.]

I was just seeing what was in it. Some of this stuff might be too complicated to make here anyways.

[But he's no chemistry expert, and he doubts Majima is either so he'll leave it at that.]

No, I was jus' checkin' on ya, I guess. Heard a lot about the trial this weekend.

[There's something a little contemplative in his gaze when he hears that. It kind of weirds him out tbh??? They didn't interact much, although he knows that Jin was pretty much their mutual acquaintance. Still, there was worse company to have.]

Huh. Lutece tell you about it or something? [A slight pause.] It was a shitshow anyways. Be glad you missed it.

Yeah, but at least you didn't have to sit around and watch as Mako played the good detective throughout the whole thing.

Woulda lost my shit. Claimin' slittin' someone's throat is self defense. And that Kurosaki-kun "accidentally" drown or whatever. At least own up ta it. Don't be a cowardly fucker.
