week 6

Week 6
Sunday - Thursday

Another week of misfortune has passed by and while the end result is that there won't be any issues to anyone's existence being altered for the worst, it doesn't mean anyone's celebrating. If anything, the stressful machinations of the recent trial would require some of you to have someone champion some sort of recuperation amongst you in an attempt to relieve the strain. Whether or not its entirely successful in doing so is up to each individual. After all, there are some of you who are naturally able to endure more than others.

There's not even much time for that before the dawn of the next week is upon the castle. As it comes, everything seems quiet, which is understandable, considering that five lives were lost in the previous week.

Of course, the next best thing to focus on would be what's been newly revealed within the castle. It'll help most of you get your mind off of the current situation to an extent—distractions have a way of making that possible. Presuming, by chance, you do find yourself taking a peek at the sakura tree, you'll notice that the buds have started to finally open up. Is it time for spring at last? If so, you might find yourself wishing that the season would suddenly find itself on hold.

[Mahiro wasn't exactly of the mind to pay attention to everyone else's reactions at the time, so he wasn't exactly sure how Kizakura took things. So having it brought up so casually like that just kind of amuses him, actually.]

Maybe. It'd be a pretty big problem for them if too many died, though. Who says that the person rampaging would bother to make sure nine people are left standing?

Right...I bet Teishu-san would stop them anyway. A sword may not be enough to defeat him. I have heard he has divine powers of some sort, there must be something about them that'll protect him from lethal harm.
irrationalities: (♚ most boring thing i've heard.)

He told me outright he was a god, so that wouldn't be surprising.

[And while Mahiro isn't religious at all, he couldn't deny that there were things that existed with abilities beyond what regular people could do. That much was obvious during Sen's execution...]

The Sage pushed me away with a barrier when I got too close, too. I don't know if their abilities are actually that similar though.

They most likely aren't. Sage-san seems completely disinterested about fighting, and I'd say it's because he0s not a fighter. The extent of his powers may be related to this castle, defending himself and nothing else.

In other words, he's relying on Teishu-san to stay safe, even though Teishu-san doesn't like that.
irrationalities: (♚ just sit tight and i'll explain.)

He still managed to do a number on Yukimi though. And even if you don't have other weapons on hand, you can still do a lot with a defensive barrier.

[Sounds like he's talking from experience...]

I don't know which one of them is stronger, but I doubt he'd have trouble holding most of us back unless there're some limitations to his powers that we don't know about.
