week 6

Week 6
Sunday - Thursday

Another week of misfortune has passed by and while the end result is that there won't be any issues to anyone's existence being altered for the worst, it doesn't mean anyone's celebrating. If anything, the stressful machinations of the recent trial would require some of you to have someone champion some sort of recuperation amongst you in an attempt to relieve the strain. Whether or not its entirely successful in doing so is up to each individual. After all, there are some of you who are naturally able to endure more than others.

There's not even much time for that before the dawn of the next week is upon the castle. As it comes, everything seems quiet, which is understandable, considering that five lives were lost in the previous week.

Of course, the next best thing to focus on would be what's been newly revealed within the castle. It'll help most of you get your mind off of the current situation to an extent—distractions have a way of making that possible. Presuming, by chance, you do find yourself taking a peek at the sakura tree, you'll notice that the buds have started to finally open up. Is it time for spring at last? If so, you might find yourself wishing that the season would suddenly find itself on hold.

Kind of a shitty deterrent though.

[Another thought though...]

We thought it could've just exaggerated the trait we were given these for, but I don't know enough about gemstone symbolism to say anything more than that.

Hm, I wonder if that means breakin' it's not really that bad of a thing, then. Other than for them listenin' in, of course.
irrationalities: (♚ that's all there is to it.)

[There's a bit of a pause before he continues nonchalantly.]

Unless I got lied to, breaking 'em or taking them off's not a good idea, because we'll get corrupted.
maddogs: (cause i gotta leave yeah)

[personal profile] maddogs 2017-09-06 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Guess it'd be a good justification for killin' Eizen, at least.
irrationalities: (♚ this is stupid.)

[personal profile] irrationalities 2017-09-06 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. But if it was that big of an issue, you'd think that they should've made it clearer instead of just giving us a vague as fuck rule.
maddogs: (theres nothing i wouldnt do)

[personal profile] maddogs 2017-09-06 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
That's exactly what I mean - there's no proof, ya know? Just their word for it. An' it seems like if the only real issue that happens is that other people get their traits accentuated - it's like ya said, that ain't no real deterrent.

That only seems like it happens if they're broken. Unless other people've been having mood changes that they haven't said anything about, removing them doesn't do the same thing.

[Because there's been enough punishments that those sorts of things would come out... Hm.]

Maybe we should ask how long it takes for the corruption to set in.
maddogs: (oh just the thought of you)

[personal profile] maddogs 2017-09-06 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
[ majima nods ]

We're on the same page. They made the rule 'cause allegedly removin' it or breakin' it causes corruption hopin no one would do anythin'. But when they did, you'd expect ta see some kinda effect, only all ya get is this random heightenin' of some trait.

That's a good question' ta ask. See what their story is.

I know I talkedta Sage-chan an' he said they keep all the pendants somewhere "safe." They don't destroy 'em or get rid of 'em or nothin', they're just locked up in some closet or some shit.
irrationalities: (♚ we're not done here.)

[personal profile] irrationalities 2017-09-06 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
He say anything else about the pendants? Like what else they're used for.

They're out connection ta our worlds, apparently. And they stay connected even after we die. That's about it.
