week 6

Week 6
Sunday - Thursday

Another week of misfortune has passed by and while the end result is that there won't be any issues to anyone's existence being altered for the worst, it doesn't mean anyone's celebrating. If anything, the stressful machinations of the recent trial would require some of you to have someone champion some sort of recuperation amongst you in an attempt to relieve the strain. Whether or not its entirely successful in doing so is up to each individual. After all, there are some of you who are naturally able to endure more than others.

There's not even much time for that before the dawn of the next week is upon the castle. As it comes, everything seems quiet, which is understandable, considering that five lives were lost in the previous week.

Of course, the next best thing to focus on would be what's been newly revealed within the castle. It'll help most of you get your mind off of the current situation to an extent—distractions have a way of making that possible. Presuming, by chance, you do find yourself taking a peek at the sakura tree, you'll notice that the buds have started to finally open up. Is it time for spring at last? If so, you might find yourself wishing that the season would suddenly find itself on hold.

Corruption usually has an association with black as does decay. The last ones would go with white. The middle ones, maybe blue? Scrying can have an association with water and illusions can ripple when broken.

The middle one is the one I'm least certain of myself.

[She frowns slightly.]

Scrying is also the word I'm most unsure about. I'm only guessing after all.

That I can help with. Scrying refers to a means of predicting the future with magic. If I remember right, the spell often uses something like a pool of water or a mirror.

....Considering what just happened with that mirror from the pond, I think you've sold me on blue, Jansen.

But it does raise the question of what the significance of all this really is.

Probably depends on the sort of magic being spoken of. But if you need more explained feel free to ask. Though actually with the topic of corruption and magic, it really reminds me of Saman when we first arrived there. Not sure if it's the same, but it was a really freaky thing to see.

Magic doesn't exist where I'm from, so I don't really know anything about it in all honesty.

[THIS HAS BEEN A HIDEOUS LEARNING CURVE.]

What do you mean by Saman, though? What about it reminds you of corruption?

Saman is a humble merchant town that one will pass through traveling to Gohtza by land. Perfectly normal place until someone decided to build an experimental version of a place we call Grand Staff.

When we arrived to the town on our way to Gohtza, it wasn't that anymore. It was night the whole time we were there. Everyone acted weird, things changed shape. Even objects in the town gained a life of their own and behaved strangely. It was the craziest thing I'd ever seen.

So we all had to take a little side journey out to the sea to deal with this facility. Long story short with that one, it exploded and is gone. Then in the time it took to sail back, the town was completely normal again. None of the people really remembered what happened. Makes me think of corruption because the magic energy changed the place and really, this place has some things in common.
