week 6
Week 6
Sunday - Thursday
Another week of misfortune has passed by and while the end result is that there won't be any issues to anyone's existence being altered for the worst, it doesn't mean anyone's celebrating. If anything, the stressful machinations of the recent trial would require some of you to have someone champion some sort of recuperation amongst you in an attempt to relieve the strain. Whether or not its entirely successful in doing so is up to each individual. After all, there are some of you who are naturally able to endure more than others.
There's not even much time for that before the dawn of the next week is upon the castle. As it comes, everything seems quiet, which is understandable, considering that five lives were lost in the previous week.
Of course, the next best thing to focus on would be what's been newly revealed within the castle. It'll help most of you get your mind off of the current situation to an extent—distractions have a way of making that possible. Presuming, by chance, you do find yourself taking a peek at the sakura tree, you'll notice that the buds have started to finally open up. Is it time for spring at last? If so, you might find yourself wishing that the season would suddenly find itself on hold.

He can't just continue to say it's nothing, not with Rosalind refusing to buy the exhaustion line he'd fed some others.]
Then I'm sick.
no subject
[Isn't she such a nice nurse?]
no subject
[helpful. Not.
He pauses, considering Rosalind for a moment. She was a chemist. Maybe...
It was a risk, but it might be worth the gain to admit at least a little, while the cat's out of the bag.]
But one of the symptoms is similar to anemia, I suppose.
no subject
But you're certain it isn't anemia. Why?
no subject
[So he knows something about it's progression, at least.]
It's possible medication might ease the symptoms, but I have no ability to acquire such a thing in this place.
no subject
Tell me the other symptoms first. I assume you've been eating things high in iron?
no subject
[He shakes his head.]
I can't tell you the other symptoms, I'm sorry.

It's more that I don't know exactly how it'll progress, in specific. Only that it will, eventually, and what the eventual problems will be in a vague sense. It hadn't happened.... to me, or the other person with this illness who researched it.
['Illness'. Understatement of the century.]
We're the only two people who suffer from it.
no subject
Or some other third reason?

Then tell me what's most likely to happen. I can take a fair few guesses off that.

[Ayumu says it casually, but it's clear from the set of his shoulders he isn't comfortable telling Rosalind any of this.]
For now though, it will probably only be problems with exhaustion and fainting. By the time the other symptoms develop I'll be home, hopefully.
no subject
Just saying.
Anyway, Rosalind frowns, staring at nothing, ignoring his discomfort in favor of thinking this over.]
It almost sounds like poisoning, frankly.
[Not that she thinks it is, but she's mostly musing aloud.]
All right. I can at least try and mix you something to ward off the exhaustion and keep up your blood cell count. I'll write you a list of foods I want you to focus your meals around, though I appreciate you might not be able to follow it to the letter.
