Week 6

Sunday - Thursday

Another week of misfortune has passed by and while the end result is that there won't be any issues to anyone's existence being altered for the worst, it doesn't mean anyone's celebrating. If anything, the stressful machinations of the recent trial would require some of you to have someone champion some sort of recuperation amongst you in an attempt to relieve the strain. Whether or not its entirely successful in doing so is up to each individual. After all, there are some of you who are naturally able to endure more than others.

There's not even much time for that before the dawn of the next week is upon the castle. As it comes, everything seems quiet, which is understandable, considering that five lives were lost in the previous week.

Of course, the next best thing to focus on would be what's been newly revealed within the castle. It'll help most of you get your mind off of the current situation to an extent—distractions have a way of making that possible. Presuming, by chance, you do find yourself taking a peek at the sakura tree, you'll notice that the buds have started to finally open up. Is it time for spring at last? If so, you might find yourself wishing that the season would suddenly find itself on hold.

Even a little corruption can't be washed away... and there's two we shouldn't trust is my takeaway.

'The sea' makes me think of this Emperor guy.

He is the likely candidate for 'sea', as for 'sky'....

Could be either one of the two. The Teishu basically called himself a god, but I don't know enough about the Sage to say if he's the same.

The sea and the sky are prolly Emperor-han and Teishu-kun, which leaves a pretty obvious third guy fer who we can't trust.

I think we have no need to be warned of not trusting The Sage, none of us will trust him as far as we can throw him.

[However, he does note some people are pretty defensive of Teishu, it's reasonable they'd warn of him]

The missing syllables in the haiku could also just be 'either'.

It's pretty weird to suddenly talk about the Sage there when the lines above it are about the other two.

I agree, there's no need to warn about someone we obviously mistrust, and doesn't match - so either is probably the missing the word. Trust neither Emperor nor Teishu.

Ya think Emperor woulda delivered this message if we ain't supposed ta trust him? Don't that seem kinda ass-backwards?

If he realized what it is, he wouldn't, but if somehow got past his notice, it is possible one of our companions is trying to warn us. There seems like something missing in Mako's message and his is the most direct.

So unless the Sage has something sea-like about him, or there's yet another player we don't know of, and at this stage - that is unlikely.

Y'all are tryin' ta find enemies where there ain't any. All this bad shit is about The Sage.

People lie. The Emperor may be helping us, but to what end? You're being rather guileless.

I don't know if it's "either"... Maybe Tei-shu [she claps her hands gently with each syllable, counting them out] or...hm.

I don't know...if it's good to trust the Emperor, but I think he's more reliable than the Sage or the Teishu. Even if people think the Teishu is friendly...

[She's pretty obviously annoyed by that idea, though. She hopes the syllables are for Teishu!!]

Maybe it's...the true name..? They know, but can't tell us... But it's two syllables. [clap-clap] That would fit in the poem. It's a hint.

So we might be looking for a name that combines sea and sky somehow?

I just don't agree that we should place are fullhearted trust in a god. The one of my world is a charmer-- he's able to talk a woman out a window and leave people in awe of him.

In any case, I'm more inclined to believe the name we need to find is Teishu's. The sage has the Teishu bound to his control but that doesn't mean either of them are saints.

Just in case, let's focus on finding both. We can't afford to choose the wrong one.

We hardly have to trust him entirely, but I think out of all of them, he's the one most aligned with our goals. We might not be able to trust him all the time, but he despises the Sage, as do we.

I can agree with that. His motivations seem to be 'freedom'. But can you also agree it's possibly his name we must look for? If not to keep him in line, but to free him?

It's true. As it's read, the contents should be about the 'Sea' and 'Sky'.
