Final Investigation

Unless you're outside the change in the environment is subtle, a spike of electricity in the air that lasts only for a moment. And if you're outside, well, it's hard to miss the blossoms of the sakura tree as they fall in a flurry. What awaits you when you climb the stairs are three new corridors and one ornate, black, wooden door directly opposite the solar. There's a keyhole here so you don't need to worry about trying to force it down (and you still have that key don't you?) but it would be wise to explore the rest of rooms first.

Best to be prepared and all.

Mingle in front of the Black Door

[Well now that they've ransacked the creepy white room, Ayumu will be strolling out with an armful of... a terrarium?

Yeaaaah. He's stuffed the rest of what he's found into his pockets.]

The room we found is... odd. Almost completely white, actually.

[Just. By the way. She's got her fuck the sage shirt on in bright and garish colors, but since it's a t-shirt it'll also make it really easy to see the months-old scar on her right forearm that most definitely hit an artery when it was made, that's for sure.

I found some papers, a logo, a wrapper, and a sash.

I found a sticker and this hourglass. [He holds up each. Tube.] Also, I went poking through his closet, and... they had a lot of martial arts clothes in there? Crazy shoulderpads, too.

We got into Sage-san's room. There's a few things in there, I looked into his books. Only a few were useful enough, one mentioned more swords. I also got this one... [He shows it] ...about how a Sage is chosen, and there was also this photo album, which I think has photos of his family before he was chosen.

It was a productive trip.

I found three globes with very old depictions of Earth on them, as well as this note--something about the spy from the previous "ceremony," I think.

[He holds up the terrarium.] If you found the Sage's room, the white room must have been the Teishu's. It's very sparse and sterile, but I found this terrarium with a small tree, some notes I can't make heads or tails of, and a ruby akin to the stones set in our pendants.

Tennou is the guy who picked the current Sage, I'm pretty sure. He did a whole lot for him, like giving him this whole island.

[She takes out a stack of letters and two books, almost all featuring mention of Tennou.]

[ Team teenagers go forth, what will you find down your corridor? ]

Ayumu quickly locates Hiyono and Elliot before cautiously heading off to the third floor with them. Safety in numbers and all that, even if they are squishy teenagers.]

[Elliot was outside, but he came hauling ass back into the castle when the tree started doing its thing. Nope. Nope, nope, nope, noooo thank you.

So, now he's here, trying his best to put on a brave face and not give in to his urges to cower behind the others.]

[Hiyono has been conveniently sticking with Ayumu anyway. She's got her FUCK THE SAGE shirt on, friendship bracelet around her wrist, and cage necklace from Ros around her neck.

[ It's okay we gave this group the task of fighting the dragon.

Actually what you'll find at the end of your corridor is a fairly plain wooden door. It's almost shockingly basic, and... it looks like it's slightly open. ]

[damn it they're bite sized the poor dragon will get them stuck in it's teeth.

Hmm.... well, if it's open, Ayumu's going to take it as an invitation to peek inside. Nothing in there about to rip his arm off, is there?]

[Georik grabbed his sword that he got from the pond some weeks back - a few knifes with adequate throwing balance, and joined the two, with his pre-made medicine kit slung over his shoulder]

[ At the end of your corridor, you will find a ornate-looking wooden door. It's definitely not open, and it is, in fact, locked.

It looks like one of you will have to get it open. ]

[That's a door indeed. Once it's in sight, Kizakura hurries, getting a bit ahead, and starts examining the door. He tries to open it and sighs when that leads nowhere, he starts to examine the surface of the door]

If it's locked, it must be important.

Group: Majima, Rosalind, Zero

[ Maybe you will find the Sage and it'll just be a contest of who gets to kill him first. ]

[WOULDN'T THAT BE NICE. Rosalind is, of course, glued at Majima's side, but she's glad for Zero here as well. If they're going to fight, it's nice to have the two deadliest people at her side.]

[Please let them find the Sage so Zero can race to draw first blood, she would be so happy!! MORE SERIOUSLY THOUGH, she's taking a slight lead because... she really is that eager to run in and kill the Sage, but she figures that works out best anyways. She hasn't drawn her sword, but she's on guard.]

[ The corridor isn't particularly long—toward the end of it there's a set of stairs leading down. At the bottom of them, there's a ornate door slightly ajar. It's good that you don't have to unlock it but it might be a little ominous seeing how the doorknob has been ripped right off the door and left on the floor.
