week 6
Week 6
Sunday - Thursday
Another week of misfortune has passed by and while the end result is that there won't be any issues to anyone's existence being altered for the worst, it doesn't mean anyone's celebrating. If anything, the stressful machinations of the recent trial would require some of you to have someone champion some sort of recuperation amongst you in an attempt to relieve the strain. Whether or not its entirely successful in doing so is up to each individual. After all, there are some of you who are naturally able to endure more than others.
There's not even much time for that before the dawn of the next week is upon the castle. As it comes, everything seems quiet, which is understandable, considering that five lives were lost in the previous week.
Of course, the next best thing to focus on would be what's been newly revealed within the castle. It'll help most of you get your mind off of the current situation to an extent—distractions have a way of making that possible. Presuming, by chance, you do find yourself taking a peek at the sakura tree, you'll notice that the buds have started to finally open up. Is it time for spring at last? If so, you might find yourself wishing that the season would suddenly find itself on hold.

INVESTIGATION
[He's bypassed this hallway dozens of times by now, but before this he never much paid attention to the corner between the two hallways. Is that a small gap there...?]
Armory.
[Like many others, the glint of the weapons catches his eye enough for him to wander inside the room and browse the selection. However, he makes no move to pick up anything; what would be the point in grabbing another weapon, after all? In any case, if someone else comes in, he'll speak up.]
Guess the Sage decided to finally stop playing around. You'd think this would've been one of the first rooms to open up if he wanted to make it easy to kill, though.
[It seems a little weird doing it this late when their numbers have already been slashed to less than half.]
Alchemy Lab.
[He has walked past this room several times today already but. Perhaps it's the slant of the light through the windows, perhaps it's something else, but something makes him pause and linger this time. Mahiro ends up hanging by the doorway for who knows how long before he finally steps in, grabs one of the flimsy notebooks off the shelf and just idly flips through it. But it honestly doesn't look like he's absorbing any of what he's reading, if the speed at which he's going through it says anything.
Feel free to find him doing that or when he's obstructing the doorway??]

It makes him look like he's getting impatient, then.
no subject
[Nonchalant as always. He also doesn't seem particularly bothered by Mahiro's executioner role last time, but he's just that good hiding how nervous he feels about that]
no subject
Maybe. It'd be a pretty big problem for them if too many died, though. Who says that the person rampaging would bother to make sure nine people are left standing?

[And while Mahiro isn't religious at all, he couldn't deny that there were things that existed with abilities beyond what regular people could do. That much was obvious during Sen's execution...]
The Sage pushed me away with a barrier when I got too close, too. I don't know if their abilities are actually that similar though.
no subject
In other words, he's relying on Teishu-san to stay safe, even though Teishu-san doesn't like that.
no subject
[Sounds like he's talking from experience...]
I don't know which one of them is stronger, but I doubt he'd have trouble holding most of us back unless there're some limitations to his powers that we don't know about.
alchemy lab;
[ because it looks like hes not reading those notebooks. ]
no subject
...Just thinking about fireworks.
[The notebook he has definitely has nothing to do with fireworks though, uh.]
no subject
Ah, is that what that's about?
no subject
I was just seeing what was in it. Some of this stuff might be too complicated to make here anyways.
[But he's no chemistry expert, and he doubts Majima is either so he'll leave it at that.]
You need something?
no subject
No, I was jus' checkin' on ya, I guess. Heard a lot about the trial this weekend.
no subject
Huh. Lutece tell you about it or something? [A slight pause.] It was a shitshow anyways. Be glad you missed it.

maybe if he gets bored enough he'll fill the gap with paper--]no subject
there's something trying to come out of the very small gap. It's one of those minions you've seen around the castle, looks like you found their nest. The poor thing has paper stuck all over it too now, but one of them looks really old, it doesn't match the paper you just shoved in. ]
no subject
Well uh, then he'll just pick the old piece of paper off that minion then. Does it say anything interesting?]
