Week 4
Week 4
Sunday - Thursday
You've lost four in the past week—Machias, Vanitas, Natalia and Edna. Just in time for the fourth week to roll around, for those of you who are superstitious. But it really isn't like you could forget that death is a common occurrence in this castle, whether you believe in legends or not. Some of you might find solace in the chance to recuperate and move on, if you're still up for companionship with your fellow warriors.
Either way, dawn is soon upon the castle and like it or not, you will all have to face whatever comes this week.
Like before the pattern repeats itself, with new areas revealed for you to explore. It may be that something worth discovering lies in wait to be found, or you can simple enjoy the new additions for what they are. Distractions are most likely welcome, regardless of your feelings of the past week.

[Misora will be seen taping a sign on the wall that reads as follows:]
Training Ground
[As indicated on her note, Misora is at the training grounds. She has her hair tied back in a pony tail and is wearing this questionable t-shirt and has the look of someone who seems incredibly uncomfortable about what they're wearing but is trying not to let that show.
She's not really expecting too many people to bother with physical training considering the last two murders involved poisons, but it's at least something to keep her thoughts occupied. So rather than simply waiting for people, she begins practicing, maneuvering from the ginga stance of capoeira into a one handed backflip into a spinning kick. She pauses when she spots someone approaching.]
Here to practice?
Sakura Tree
[Towards the evening, after she's done with training and a quick bath in her room, Misora decides that slightly damp or not, it is time to wear her normal clothes again. She'll be meditating by the Sakura Tree with Raye's coat draped over her lap. It's only Wednesday and it's already been a long week. Her voice is as steady as ever though. When people approach, she sinply looks up at them:]
What would you consider worth dying for?
training ground
Yep! Said I'd make it one of these days, so here I am.
no subject
First breakfast and now this, huh? What was that you said a couple of days ago... something about not wanting people to go out of their way for you....?
[Keeping the teasing in check a little, she continues.]
In all seriousness, if you really don't feel comfortable about this, you don't have to be here.

[He shakes his head.]
I don't want my life to be entirely music. Hard as it was, I learned a lot of really important things from what I did at Thors, and I don't really wanna give that up.
I had intended to just keep practicing with my orbal staff, but this is as good of an option as any.

I wouldn't mind dying for people I care about. That... seems unfortunate with this week's motive, but I mean it in a way that isn't forced by some sick game.
For example: if I died in order to protect you or Elliot from another killer and you subsequently lived, then I wouldn't mind that. I'm terrified of it, of course, but it wouldn't be so bad. I'd rather have that than a meaningless death.
no subject
You know.. in that situation, I would much rather you ran and saved yourself. Just so you know.

That puts us in the same boat, doesn't it?

Yeah.
What was that fighting style you were using?
no subject
It's called capoeira. It combines dance with martial arts. What about you, Mako? What's your preferred fighting style?
no subject
Firebending... though I guess it's just the movements, now, since my bending's blocked for some reason.

What he hadn't expected was to see Misora sitting outside, or to hear such a question come from her when he nears. He slows to a stop in front of her, quiet for a moment, a pensive look on his face.]
...That's a heavy question.

[Given the nature of this place, everyone has to have thought about it at least once.]
no subject
I suppose.... to keep 'Hope' alive.
[A shrug, before he continues.]
But in all honesty? I'd rather fight tooth and nail for it with my life.

...what's the shirt for, by the way?
no subject
[There, that suffices as a full and complete explanation, right? She suppresses a sigh.]
She was trying to uh... boost morale. I didn't want to offend her and my normal clothes needed a wash anyway.

...my standards are probably lower, considering my position. [ a god has to protect her people, after all ] But I would give my life to keep my followers safe, any of them.

...It must be difficult having so much responsibility.

I think whatever you decide on in the end is the right answer. For me, if I could save my sister, then it's worth it.

[She sighs.]
What happened to your sister, if you don't mind me asking that is.

I'd like to say some noble sacrifice to save a bunch of people, but let's get real I probably won't die in such a way.
no subject
I think what people imagine they'd be willing to die for doesn't necessarily pan out that way for most people. If we're keeping it real, anyway.
[A beat.]
So how do you think it'll end for you? At home - not here.
