[ So you've wished the dead back to life, but there's still 2 wishes you have to make. Ultimately what happens from here is entirely in your hands, but for the first time in eight weeks everyone is alive and whole again (even that pesky merman). There is that corruption you should deal with, but surely you know what to do about that.

Once you've settled and wound down a bit, maybe you should relax a bit before going your separate ways. You've earned it.

Everyone's on edge. There's really no reason not to be; in the midst of the expectations that rest on the survivor's shoulders, information that's been recently obtained has shed more light on the situation. Some of you, who are amongst those survivors, hope to use that information for the challenge everyone must meet head on today.

It can be considered a gesture of kindness (or perhaps pragmatism) that The Sage doesn't beckon anyone until it is further in the morning. As per the usual, The Sage's carried across the pendants as he spoke to everyone.

"Come, my warriors, to the door that once barred you from entry. I expect you all know how to find a way within. I will see all of you soon."

The Sage's voice dissipates, leaving no time for inquiry and there's no sense in protesting in following his words, considering the state of things. It's time for action and everyone of you would want to make sure you'd show up--entirely independent of the reasons The Sage would wish for you all to do so of course.

When the door is opened with the key Ayumu has on him, everyone is able to easily enter into the new room.

The room is dim and rather cold, with a certain feeling in the air that makes your hair stand on end. You'll definitely need a light source, as the windows are rather high up, and covered mostly by darkened curtains. While there's no light switch, there are 5 large candles scatted around the perimeter of the room that when lit have 5 distinct color flames:

Green, red, white, black, and blue. If one took a line to connect each candle, they'd notice it seems to form a pentagon in shape.

To the far back of the room, there's a large archway that looks like a gateway of sorts, a portal.

On the floor, in the center of the room, is a large faded rune pattern. It appears as if no one is here, but the absence of The Master Sage lasts only for a very brief moment. In a sudden flash of light, that's almost blinding, The Sage makes his appearance right over the rune pattern.

This time, his hood is missing, revealing peach-colored short hair, and golden eyes. He looks rather young, but that is because he is young - certainly moreso than a few of you gathered here. Finally, he smiles, but the light doesn't reach his eyes.

"My warriors, it's good of you to finally arrive. Though, it's not like I would doubt you can really do much else. After all, you answered my call today and so shall you do so now once more.

For each and every single one of you there is a place to stand. You may take whichever one you may choose, and then after that, you don't have to worry about what comes next. Why would you? The kind of position you're all in wouldn't really permit you to do anything about this situation. Of course, you can entertain the foolish idea that you have some enough power to try to oppose me...but I highly recommend that you don't waste your time on futile, idiotic struggles.

Now, without further ado..."

The Sage's smile has grown wider, more sharper and quite maddening - it is also quite fitting for someone who would have a cunning nature.

"Shall we began the ceremony?"

(( Just a reminder that it'd be very unwise to attack The Sage, as rule 2 is still in effect! He can and will retaliate without mercy, and if you'd like your character to live, it'd be best you'd avoid that. ))

Unless you're outside the change in the environment is subtle, a spike of electricity in the air that lasts only for a moment. And if you're outside, well, it's hard to miss the blossoms of the sakura tree as they fall in a flurry. It's rather beautiful, if not somewhat disturbing; sometime in the past few hours, they've changed color from a cheerful pink to a blood red.

Regardless of whether you see that as an omen or not, you'll hear what comes next through your pendants:

Third floor, there is little time left.

The Teishu's words are clipped and urgent, so you probably shouldn't tarry.

What awaits you when you climb the stairs are three new corridors and one ornate, black, wooden door directly opposite the solar. There's a keyhole here so you don't need to worry about trying to force it down (and you still have that key don't you?) but it would be wise to explore the rest of rooms first.

Best to be prepared and all.

Week 8
Sunday - Thursday

Whatever hopes you had going into the final trial have been dashed—after the execution, most of you were left with that unfortunate revelation, those bitter betrayals, and a lingering sense of regret over your failures. Even now, some of you may find it difficult to feel joy over the fact that everything is almost at an end. Understandably so, and even if things had been different, there's nothing that would erase your knowledge of the Emperor's ominous warning; a warning you either failed to heed or simply didn't know how to prevent.

In order to get through this new week, you will all need to pull yourselves together and work as a team. Some of you have already begun the process of trying to piece everything together. It's a start, but there's still much for you to discuss. After all, it wouldn't do to just suddenly discard all that information given to you, would it?

This week there aren't any new areas for you to explore. The only change in scenary comes from the sakura tree, and it's one that's hard to miss. The tree stands tall, branches full and lively, and the entire area around it seems that much more vibrant for it. The tree is in full bloom, a clear sign that your time in this castle has come to an end.

Anyone who tries to come too close to the tree will find themselves blocked by a white barrier.

[ after majima eventually, somehow, makes it out of the trial room he marches off to his own room, grabs his parka (to cover his pendant, and also to hide inside) and heads out to the great hall. he tacks up, next to the rules, a mass of papers. On top of which has a page that reads:]

wrote these when i thought i was dying
cant be bothered to edit them now
cover your pendants when you read them
or dont i guess

[ majima himself can be found not too far away, not just in case of questions but more importantly, so people can dish out the sweet justice they didn't give him today during the trial. feel free to mingle with the plot info or give majima what he deserves. ]

YOU HAVE CHOSEN, WARRIORS

Before anyone realizes it, time is up. At first, it's brought on by the sound of an ancient-sounding gong that's banged loudly and incessantly throughout the entirety of the trial room. The noise is enough to cause a heavy distraction from any lingering conversations and preoccupations in the midst of the trial. When the banging ceases, the golden box that rests behind the green curtain fades temporarily from sight. Some might consider the sound of the gong to be a relief, given how the circumstances of this trial.

Everyone understands, however, that by now that this isn't exactly the only thing that would herald the end. After all, it wouldn't be right for everyone to be suddenly released without knowing what the verdict is, correct?

SEVENTH TRIAL
Saturday, Week 7

UNCOVER THE GUILTY PARTY

More than enough has been going on to keep everyone's minds busy, what with the news of a spy (and subsequent unveiling of said spy) being delivered and two essential members of your group being lost. Both blows may have made things too difficult for some of you to manage, and if that's the case, nobody would blame you for it. There may even be a few wondering if you can continue under these circumstances. Unfortunately, no matter how long you dwell on these thoughts there's nothing you can do about them.

After all, time presses ever onward. The Sage cares little for the heavy blows your group has suffered and, just like every other week, something calls you forward and draws you to the grand doors in the Great Hall. Once they open, everyone here has no choice but to file in.

As always, it's easy to take notice of the profiles lining the walls. Everyone knows their purpose by now, though they're far from a comforting sight. Your only consolation is this should be the final time you'll be in this room—assuming The Sage is a man of his word, at any rate. Once everyone settles in, The Sage's voice filters through the pendants.

"Welcome, my warriors, to our final tribunal. You've fought long and hard to reach this point—lost many friends and faced many betrayals. With all you've endured thus far, I am certain you are all ready to give this last trial everything you have. After all, it would be a shame if any of you decided to put forth anything less than your best effort when everything is at its zenith.

May you all be blessed with only the best of fortune. You will certainly need it."

As soon as the Sage finishes speaking, five images flicker into sight as if brought to life by a projector. Seeing how there's no such device present, it may not be a stretch to consider magic is at work here.

There's admittedly been a lot that's gone on with this week--certainly more so than the previous one. You had learnt which one of you had been conferring with the enemy. However, for most of you, there isn't enough time to properly take in this discovery or honestly know what to make of it. What doesn't help is the fact that someone else had lost their lives in the midst of this conflict. And to make matters worse, the end of the week was soon upon you all.

Everyone knew what that meant of course--and there was no doubt that someone would die this week. Of course, it was up to the rest of you to discover who had.

Week 7
Sunday - Thursday

With the loss of two more warriors, the castle has grown even quieter still. Such a thing was always bound to become a consequence of your stay here, though the actual reality of it may be more unpleasant. There's been little in the way of parties, which isn't too much of a surprise given your dwindling numbers, but it's still better than nothing, correct?

As with every other week, new locations have been unveiled for you all to either explore or use to casually gather within. If you've been keeping an eye on the cherry blossoms, you'll note that they look just about ready to bloom. The important thing is, of course, that they haven't. But it's only a matter of time, now.

There are no invites to any group gatherings after the trial today. There is only solitude and sulking. Though if you come out to the great hall, there will be a platter of sandwiches. Fancy stuff, that.

But wherever your character may choose to sulk on this fine post-trial Saturday, feel free to share the pain because sharing is caring.

SIXTH TRIAL
Saturday, Week 6

UNCOVER THE GUILTY PARTY

It's hard to forget that once again, someone had taken it upon themselves to brutally kill one of your number. A good number of you had braved the harrowing scenes well, considering the mess that was left behind. By the end of it, there wasn't any reward except the fact that you had collected the information you would need in order to try to track down the killer. Even if it has always been that way, it might feel like more of an ordeal because of how many times you've all followed this forced routine.

Everyone is eventually forced to make their way down to the Great Hall, in order for those grand doors to fling open, and allow each one of you inside.

As you all enter, some of you may wonder when it will all end? The thought's definitely crossed the minds for some of you before, but with how many times you've all wound up in this trial room, the inner inquiry might returned louder than ever. However, as far as everyone knew, there wasn't a way to put a stop to any of this and it isn't like most of you desire for the killer to get off scot free.

Some of you may turn a gaze towards the profiles lining the walls. Perhaps it might be for the sake of seeing a familiar face or, of course, to review information about your fellow warriors for practical purposes. Once everyone has settled, The Sage's voice filters in calmly through the pendants.

"It is time, my warriors, to meet the challenge head on. Will you permit Tiki's killer to be allowed to escape without consequence or will you endeavor so that they are given due justice for their actions?

I suppose only time will tell.

May you all be blessed with only the best of fortune. You will certainly need it."

At the least, there's no disturbances in the bedroom wing or the great hall which might give you some hope. That's a good sign certainly, so is it possible your good fortune might continue?

There's only one way to find out.

Week 6
Sunday - Thursday

Another week of misfortune has passed by and while the end result is that there won't be any issues to anyone's existence being altered for the worst, it doesn't mean anyone's celebrating. If anything, the stressful machinations of the recent trial would require some of you to have someone champion some sort of recuperation amongst you in an attempt to relieve the strain. Whether or not its entirely successful in doing so is up to each individual. After all, there are some of you who are naturally able to endure more than others.

There's not even much time for that before the dawn of the next week is upon the castle. As it comes, everything seems quiet, which is understandable, considering that five lives were lost in the previous week.

Of course, the next best thing to focus on would be what's been newly revealed within the castle. It'll help most of you get your mind off of the current situation to an extent—distractions have a way of making that possible. Presuming, by chance, you do find yourself taking a peek at the sakura tree, you'll notice that the buds have started to finally open up. Is it time for spring at last? If so, you might find yourself wishing that the season would suddenly find itself on hold.

FIFTH TRIAL
Saturday, Week 5

UNCOVER THE GUILTY PARTY

Yesterday's events were quite shocking. None of you expected to find two victims, much less two who were so young and full of life. But, as always, there's a silver lining here. Their lives bought you release from the motive, and isn't that worth something? After all, it would be a lie to say that this thought hasn't passed through anyone's mind. But would it be right to thank whoever was involved for what they did? For some of you, the idea isn't all that outlandish.

Any further deliberations regarding whether or not the act was truly just will need to wait until later. For now, you have a trial to attend.

Once thirteen of you gather in the Great Hall, the large doors slam right open and prompt everyone to ascend the stairs into the trial room.

As those present takes their seats, it becomes apparent just how many lives have been lost over the course of this game. Half of the seats are now empty, which is staggering given how many of you there were when the challenge began. Beyond the room and the current occupants are the profiles lining the walls. They're hard to miss at this point, for obvious reasons.

The Sage's steady voice slips in through the pendants as soon as everyone's settled.

"It is time, my warriors, to meet the challenge head on. You have all managed to come this far and so I expect you to perform as admirably as you have in the past. How may vary, but every individual here is important and brings their own unique touch to these trials. ... Normally, that is. To my dismay, a number of you will be temporarily incapable of taking part in this challenge.

Let us hope this is a trend that does not continue into future weeks. That said... May all who remain be blessed with only the best of fortune. You will need it."

Many are on edge—this is a fact that no one would dare challenge. The motive had hit a lot of people harder than the one previous, and there are more than a few of you who would consider someone acting as a blessing more than anything. It still doesn't help in keeping thoughts of concern far away, as no one is eager about the thought of a comrade dying. Then, there is the reality that there would be the upcoming trial as well. However, in the end, nothing can be done to make any of this easy, and all of you must take whatever may come.

Now, who will be the first to venture outward into the halls? Undoubtedly, something must have occurred. It would be unfortunate if it didn't, no?

Week 5
Sunday - Thursday

The Joker and Rhoda are the next to join the land of the dead. It could be considered a blessing that this week's events didn't include as much as a bloodbath in comparison to the one previous. Just because only two have died doesn't mean the intensity of these occurrences have decreased in any fashion. The heated moments in the previous trial only proved as much. Even afterwards, there are those discontent entirely with the idea that someone seems to have gotten off the hook so easily. All everyone can really do is attempt to cool off and move forward.

Soon, the dawn of the fifth week is upon everyone.

Everyone's next concern may be the new locations revealed for all to explore. It may be because of the rooms' superb ability to distract or the simple means of investigating, but novelties are probably still welcome either way. If you find yourself gazing at the sakura tree (will you really trust a talking sink?), you'll find that the buds are brighter in color, though still closed. Maybe next week will signal their blooming, even if it that no longer seems like an entirely good omen.
